Story line quest bugged

I got it to work... I did the Harvest sites in this order farthest one from the wayshrine first.

1. Go to the site ensure the helper shows up, they need to be present.
2. Destroy the one of soul-reaper-things then find the note closest to the soul-reaper-thing you destroyed.
3. Now do the second soul-reaper-thing at that site then find the note closest to that soul-reaper-thing.
4. Go to the next site do the same as you did to the first site.

I went into the Writhing Wall PD yesterday and couldn't do the quest. Spoke to Keshu, she said go through the portal, I went through there and was apparently supposed to lead Infermium to the gate but there was no way to do so and the numerous other players apparently couldn't do anything either. My quest pin kept pointing back through the portal to "speak to Keshu" but every time I did she gave me the same two dialogue lines about going through the portal. Tried the other portal as well but if something was supposed to be at the flag markers, nothing appeared.

So... I gave it up as a bad joke and played another game

Very disappointing.

Having the content this much bugged is unacceptable. There were already a *** of bugs in Necrom and Gold Road and people already stated their concerns, but the bugs on the content pass are getting out of ZOS control.

Unfortunately this happens over and over again in the industry.

Remember Civilization 6? Was a bugged mess full of crashes. Firaxis pretended to fix it (what they didn't). Firaxis proceeded as usual and released an unfinished and bugged beyond recognition Civilization 7 and then booooom. Players reviewed Civ 7 negatively in masses and no ones buying that slop.
That's how companies damage their long term reputations.

It would really be an embarrassment for ZOS if the player receive another open letter about how good 2025 for ESO was.

This comment doesn't include any bashing. Just facts.

My friend has done all till last quest were he got buged and cant do nothing... All the exploring achievments bugged.. Things done , but no achiewments.... And he cant restart the story line... Hes just pissed now...waited for so long to enjoy it and this whole meess is bugged as hell..

I've restarted the Hunt for the Great Mage twice because it sent me back to the first site after I had cleared both. Not the totem puzzle is broken - pressing the walls does nothing.
FGS ZOS this is absolutely pathetic that the MAIN QUEST LINE is so bugged!!!

I really do wonder how and why this happens, since on PTS, really, questing was the thing that worked fine. I played through the main quest twice without any problem. There might sometimes have been minor visual glitches or mistakes with dialogues (like extra dialogue showing for characters where it should not, or parts repeating or missing), but it was possible to play through it without problems. I also played all side quests I could find twice, and only one of them was bugged - bad enough, of course, but far from what we see on Live right now.

Hunt for the Great Mage was bugged on PTS as well (at least for me and a few others), and all the things said here were reported at the time in the corresponding threads. Being sent from one site to the other and back, and also that reading the document before destroying the reapers would stall the quest. So as others have mentioned here, the solution is to destroy the reapers first, then read the document. Sad to see this bug made it to live.

I was able to do the story quests yesterday without any issues. I'm not really sure if I destroyed the reapers before reading books. But I'm sure all I've done was following the npcs intructions.
So I don't know which parameters can bug these quests for some and not for others.

It's really funny this year with dozens of bugs which seem to not affect every character or account equally. Same issue with the fortress on the day it opened: For some people it worked fine, for some not, and for those who got some bug, it wasn't even always the same one but several different ones. I heard of people who ran it 4 times and every time they got stuck with a different bug...

stuck at the point of killing mannimarco, guess i get to do it all again and hope it works?

eta: i reloaded at this point and was able to complete the quest without abandoning it.

I'm on PCNA and can confirm that destroying the flayers first worked for me today, after getting stuck 4 times yesterday.

This one thanks you for the advice!
