Story line quest bugged

I did the destroy the hunt for the great mage quest and had to destroy the writhing soul reapers.

Did the one to the west first but if you do this you have to go back again and you cannot find the item.

Abandoned quest and now cannot get it again and so cannot complete the storyline quests.

I cannot find the NPCs to continue the storyline.

Anybody have a solution?

Same here, going to try abandoning the quest and restarting.
Got a bunch of people in zonechat with the same issue, but at least one managed to get it

Edit: if you need to abandon and restart, use zone guide to get back on track if you can't find the quest starting location.

Edit 2: After multiple resets, needing to quit because the pole with the symbols also bugged. I went west side first, investigated the piece, then destroyed, waited for skordo to say he went to camp, then do the same in the east camp, same order. After some tries, it worked.

The amount of bugs in this dlc is absolute unacceptable! Really doesn’t matter what I try to compete I encounter bugs. After a boring dlc overall I just can say I am at a very frustrated point. You can and you should do better.

PC NA, bugged at investigate the harvest site, will not complete

Bugged for me at the Kaz-Meesal Mine, Quest indicated I had to speak to Jeeta in the mine and there was no Jeeta in the Mine. Eventually zoned out logged and upon return Jeeta was standing with me and quest completed.

Next bugout was the totem pillar thing, couldnt find the note/clue/hint. Finally, got my son to fiddle with the totem and he got the right combo.

Next issue is the SoulSlayers and Investigate the Harvest site, destroyed the SoulSlayers but cannot find whatever is needed to trigger the complete the investigation.

Hunt for the Great Mage Quest is reminding me of the horrors of the initial days of the scribing questline.

Yeah, I abandoned and did it twice, once i get to the western camp Skordo asks me to get papers that I already got, so that trigger is not properly set to finish the investigation part.

This one bugged for me on the 3rd site. It’s stuck on the “investigate the harvest site” on ps5 NA

I just noticed when I dropped the question and restarted it that it actually had me do two sites and then sent me back to the first site again but now there is no document to interact with to complete the site. I tried the sites in a different order but go the same bug. Both times I picked up the documents first.

3rd try I destroyed both flayers first then grabbed the documents and it worked.

Tried this quest twice today. Both times bugged and could not finish. Not bothering with a third until it’s fixed.

I also had this problem on PCNA. I did destroyed the 2 things and did the investigation at the eastern site first. Then did the same at the western site. The quest then told me to destroy the things at the eastern site again. I did that but there’s no document to finish the investigation.

Reminds me of High Isle looking for the Queen. I had to redo that section multiple times.

I'll wait for fixes to work deeper into the quest line.

This is absurd on so many levels.
I'm furious!!! I had to wait almost 3 months to finish this story and I simply can't proceed because of bugs in a game that has a test server.
It's a joke to those who paid (and paid a lot!) for this map.

PCNA bugged out after destroying the abandoned it and repicked up

Same here I abandoned the quest and picked it up again. Guess i am going to wait for a fix (hopefully soon) before try again.

Bugged for me as well. I abandoned the main quest, but now I can't restart it because I can't find any of the npcs and the main quest marker isn't on my map. So I tried the fortress, now I can't find anyone to turn that in to. I think I'm just working on side quests and exploring now.

Open map and then zone guide.

There's a story line button at the bottom of zone guide.

Just tried to do again.

First attempt same issue as before.

The next 2 times I abanodoned the totem was bugged. Relogging fixed the totem on my 4th attempt.

This is such a shame. I was looking forward to finally exploring the rest of the zone, but between seemingly every quest being bugged, the chance to die and get perma-stuck in a certain delve, and not being able to collect skyshards because I was a horrible person and completed the western ones before U48, there's... what even is there that's safe to do in the zone right now?

Guess I'll have to table actually playing this content until several rounds of bug fixes...

Now, it seems a work-around to get unstuck without waiting days for support to help you - these tips came from guildmates who got trapped and successfully rescued with these tricks - is queue for a random 4-man dungeon or have someone group with you, then the leader queue for group IC. Both instances of trapped guildmates were sucked out of perma-death and into new instances via that method.

At any rate, I’m not going in there. And since I wouldn’t be able to grab the skyshard in there anyway, my completionist self is sidelining the whole zone at this point.

And what’s funny is the post says it’s an “edge case” situation yet the two guildmates who died down there say the place is LITTERED with stuck player bodies.

I opened Facebook this morning and first post I see in an ESO group is someone stuck there.

That’s me visually witnessing three people talk about that problem in less than 24 hours. That seems higher than “edge case” to me.

Just managed to complete the quest.

This time it only showed me one site the other was revealed once I completed the first site.

If you have both sites marked on the map I think this indicates quest is bugged.

regarding Hunt for the Great mage and getting stuck ( sent back to investigate a site again ): I dropped the quest, restarted from the Zone Guide and made sure to destroy the soul-reaper-things first before looking for the note at each site. I did not get sent back to the first site and could successfully complete that step. YMMV, gl ! { PC NA )
