When the event ends, can anyone then just walk through to East Solstice if they've had no involvement in the event? I assume the whole zone then opens up normally to everyone.

I think the breach in the wall is already available to everybody who has access to Western Solstice. So you don't need to wait for the event to end.
It is located in front of the central camp, directly in the wall.

I play on PS/NA during north american mornings.
Even at this non-prime time, usually after a new area becomes available, the quests are crowded. The area around the quest givers for incursions and delves is busy. And all the WBs and incursions are crowded and go down fast. This is true for at least the first week or three.

Eastern Solstice has been open for 4-5 days on this server. I'm questing in there, doing both the main and side quests. I'm the only one there most of the time. At most, there's 1 more player.
When checking the quest givers, there's maybe 1 other person there. There's no one at any of the world bosses, either on Western or Eastern Solstice. If I ask for help, I maybe get 1 or 2 other people to help. I drop any Ghishzor WB quest, because I can't solo him and no one else will go close to him.

I know part of this is due to the fact that the quests are split across Eastern and Western Solstice, and people who did all of the dailies for Western might not know they now include Eastern Solstice. And a few people here have said they're not questing in Eastern solstice until they know the bugs are fixed.

But even still. This is the first time I've really felt the decrease in player base, given when I play, since I rarely play during prime time.

I only say this as a data point, ZoS. I do most of the game solo anyway, esp questing, so I don't mind. I have most of the furnishing plans that drop from dailies, and will buy the rest, so I'm not terribly bothered. But.

    There's no one here.

For the love of Zenithar they should just extend the event by a week or more so that people can complete it. The bugs are out of control.

It says on the website that the Writhing Fortress is ending on the PlayStation servers on the 20th, but right now in-game at midnight on the 19th it says it's closing in 2 days 19 hours which means it would be closing at 7pm on the 21st. So which is it

The game director’s recent post directly said that this was considered, but to avoid the potential for issues they decided to instead allow it to end as scheduled and then repeat the Fortress once it had gone through more testing.

We investigated the possibility of extending Phase 3 of this event, because we want everyone to have more time to play the Writhing Fortress once these issues are fixed. However, extending the Writhing Wall event would introduce technical risks and unknowns that could result in additional issues, which we want to avoid. Because of this, we’ll let the event conclude on its current schedule, and then in early 2026, we will bring back the Writhing Fortress once we’ve completed additional internal tests and have had the chance to implement additional fixes.

@ZOS_GinaBruno and friends. Since you will bring back the fortress anyway, can you make an adjustment and allow the snake lady boss to be hit by range attacks when not warded? having the wards is fine, but like the main boss, she should suffer attacks from range as well as ballistae.

    Issues...oh boy...

    - I cannot collect the skyshards in Eastern Solstice. I had already collected those in Western Solstice before the east was opened up. When I got into Eastern Solstice, I found that no skyshards are showing on the map, the zone guide says I have collected 18/18, and when I come across skyshards in Eastern Solstice they are gray as if already collected. BUT, I do not have the achievements for collecting the skyshards, which is keeping me from finishing the Savior of Solstice achievement.
    - Where is everybody? Normally when new territory opens up it's very busy, groups are camping all the world bosses and so forth. The east side has been open less than a week and Solstice at large already feels abandoned.
    - Combined with the previous point, I have defeated Wo-Xeeth probably 30 times by now and have yet to receive the lead drop for the blacksmithing station. It's difficult to get people together to even make the attempts. Something is wrong with both the drop rate and population.

Speaking as a beta tester, I have to say, y'all done messed up ESO to the point that I'm not sure it's recoverable. It's painfully clear that the crushing of the game economy over the last two years, the genericizing of classes, the addition of superfluous features like Tribute, the change to this "season" model, and most recently the grind in Western Solstice, have genuinely harmed the ESO game and community. I don't know who the good idea fairy in your dev echo chamber is, but you need to stop listening to them and move back toward what made and kept this game successful for ten plus years in the first place.

I've delayed my East Solstice questing until different bugs letting people get stuck are fixed and, most of all, the skyshard problem is solved (no interest in needing to run to all locations a second time just to gather the shards after I've already finished all quests). And I know several people who do the same.

Of course the time it will take until these issues are fixed also influences my decision whether to buy future content or not. Needing to wait for weeks (or even months?) after a release for it to be playable the way it's intended isn't very motivating.

Hello ZOS, I completed the "Crossing the Wall" quest as soon as it was available, and yet it does not show as an achievement. Can we please fix this? Thanks

Crossing the Wall doesn't award an achievement.

You get the "Wall Breaker" title after completing the Writhing Fortress. But no achievement. Check your Titles and it should be there.

You need to complete the main quest for it though, right ? And not just "Support the Fellowship" quest. I read somewhere you can complete the main quest after the event too as it's needed for the meta achievement. But haven't seen any official confirmation.

Not sure if it still matters much - then again, as since this seems to be the part that remains in the game permanently:

General Zasimba got new dialogue after the end of the event (explaining why there are still dolmens and such). Unfortunately, in the German localisation, the translation is missing. It's in English.

Also, the Meridian Lens, which still randomly shows up or not, still emits a beam when arriving at the camp wayshrine. Not sure if it's intentional or not, but it doesn't seem to make much sense considering the Wall has already been destroyed days ago (and yes, I progressed the main quest to after the point where you're supposed to shoot the final beam, so storywise, the Wall is already gone for my character).

This is related to the really hard-to-find ultra secret ending where the Meridian Lens overloads with stray vitrified souls and suddenly goes crazy and destroys the entire island of Solstice. Players who unlock this ending can never go back to Solstice again after it happens. 😉

I'd actually enjoy doing that, after having finished all quests and achievements. Interesting; I never felt that need before. Or wait, I did, back in High Isle.

Sooo... The level designers made an Alik'r Dolmen-grind killer with Solstice and the daily quest to defend the camps, but with the event over folks have gone right back to 'lfdg' in Alik'r ? I already did not understand what folks were doing there, but now I'm even more baffled.

They're fast exp. The siege camps take way too long and need to be nerfed now that they aren't an event quest anymore.

I wanted to share my response from another thread as feedback:
    ZOS_Kevin wrote: »
Hi all, following up here on the original concern posted about the Golden Pursuit. Golden Pursuits are built to provide rewards with specific activities in mind. This has always been the case. In this case, since the Golden Pursuit is tied with the no longer active Writhing Wall event, the pursuit can no longer be completed.

Since the Writhing Wall event was based on player participation in completing phases, we did not know when the event would end, but we anticipated the latest end date would be Nov.26. However, we have been clear in messaging that the Golden Pursuit was directly connected to the event.

We will note, while we understand some of the confusion here due to the date usage, the Golden Pursuit has also been available for almost a month and a half now, providing ample time to engage with the event and complete the Golden Pursuit. We will take some of the feedback here back to the team as part of our retrospective on the Writhing Wall Event.

This is a pretty dismissive and perfunctory response from ZOS, considering that ESO has been built on years -- more than a decade -- of loyal fans participating in repeating events, and we have come to expect that sort of flexibility that allows gamers to play on their time with generous leeway, NOT the company's time when the rules change in the middle of it.
That's why people are confused and upset -- we've been shown that ESO is for everyone to play when they want to, not have to dance through elaborate hoops for a one-time event when the company moves the goalposts halfway through the event. I love that I can play when it makes sense for me, and if I miss something, there's always the chance to do it in the future. The fact that ZOS isn't giving us that chance feels like a betrayal of the players' trust and goodwill.

I have loved and supported ESO since beta, and I've always understood the ups and downs of running these events because it always seemed that the people who worked for ZOS did care about giving us the best experience possible and making up for any mistakes. This is the first time I've been really disappointed and the whole handling of this event leaves a bad taste.
