Do you feel kind of "bad" for wearing the title right now?

Full disclosure, I was in the first Fortress clear on PS/NA. Our guild even prepped like it was a trial (tanks, healers, DPS), not realizing it was much larger in scale than that.

So, I should wear that title with pride, but.. So many players are dealing with hideous bugs right now and can't get it. Either the fortress is bugged, Skordo is nowhere to be found, or the title isn't being awarded. This is through no fault of the players at all.

I feel, and this is just a me personally thing, that it's triumphantalism for me to show off the title. Like "naw naw naw naw naw" at people who can't get it because of bugs.

Am I weird? Or does anyone else feel the same?

There's no reason to feel bad. I don't have it yet but will inevitably get it whenever they get around to fixing this. That said, I never, ever notice titles on other characters at all (PC). I'm not even sure that option is enabled on my side.

Don't feel bad at all, this was something out of players control. Did you enjoy the Event anyway?

Also personally I dont have player's names on so I don't really see titles. I notice mounts and polymorphs and peoples looks more tbh.

i do not use the Wall Breaker title.
i dislike the title and that people cannot get it after the event.

If you like the title and have good memories associated with it, then why not to wear it? It's not your fault it's so buggy. I think at this point it's likely that they will prolong the event/award the title automatically to everyone who was active, so that people won't miss out.
I personally don't really care about it so I won't wear it.

I agree it sucks when someone can't earn a title (or other reward) they like and would use, whether it's because of limited-time availability or bugs or whatever, but that's no reason not to use it if you've got it. It's not your fault they can't get it, and not allowing yourself to use it just adds to the number of people who don't get to enjoy it.

Maybe I've just been really lucky, but I haven't encountered any more bugged instances on PCEU since Saturday afternoon.

As far as I can remember, I haven't encounter any bugged instances on PCNA, but I didn't try doing a run-through until Friday night, well after a behind-the-scenes patch had been installed much earlier that day.

I've watched a few streamers running through the Writhing Fortress for the first time, and they didn't encounter any bugs, so that seemed like a very good sign.

Are there players who are still experiencing bugged instances? If so, I would hope that everything gets ironed out veey quickly on Monday, so that everyone can share in the fun. (And it is a lot of fun, when everything is working as intended!)

In any case, I wouldn't feel bad about wearing a title you've earned. Personally, I don't wear those sorts of titles; I'm more into "funny" titles such as "Tin Soldier" or "Scoundrel." But if you've earned a title and are proud of it, go ahead and wear it.

I was in the first wave of PCNA for Fortress. I had already done The Worm Turns in the meantime, as I waited for a couple of hours for the Fortress to open. Because the 'fix' became drop the Worm Turns, I have no way to turn in Support the Fellowship. I have dropped it and redone it 4 times.

While I have the title, I want my Worm King's Crown. I cannot get it because the current fix makes it impossible to turn in a completed quest. I have put in a ticket, but the limited time associated with the quest is making me nervous as to the viability of a resolution.

I've been waiting for this content far too long and I did the grind required. I've put up with redoing hours of game play that get less fun when I have to repeat it over and over for no reward. It's the principle of the thing. I've been on board with this content since it was purchasable, and it's honestly, legitimately stressing me out.

It's not ideal, but doing Skordo's quest on an alt got me the reward adornment.

I think you should wear it. You earned it. ZOS has already done one fix to try to fix the empty instance bug. And they have posted about doing another fix to allow more players finish the Writhing Fortress quest.

I didn't even realise I had it, there was no notification for me, just for the adornment, just found the title at the bottom of my titles list.

Only bug I encountered was, Skordo not being there when I went to turn in the writhing fortress, I had to abandon the first new main quest "the worm turns" for him to appear and that was only because I saw it mentioned in chat if I had progressed the quest, I would have been screwed.

Not an acceptable bug IMO, ZOS should have learnt by now, if you have multiple quests acceptable they should all be complete-able especially after something similar to this happened with Abnur Tharn and the main quest along with the demon weapon prologue and the whole being able to play in any order since one Tamriel.

I am holding off exploring the other half of Solstice for now, going to wait for the crowds to thin out, so that I can actually kill stuff during quests and any major bugs to be found and hopefully fixed.

You don't need to turn the quest in for the title, just be there when the last boss is killed. I had it after my first run even tho I couldn't complete it because of the group bug.

No reason not to use it because it's not impossible to get even with everything that's going wrong. Takes a few times going in and out to find an instance that isn't bugged (look for one without the single return portal in front of the entrance) but I've done it a few times now for caltrop shards even if I still can't turn the quest in

oddly I got the achievement on my first run even though it bugged out at the end and I couldn't smash the wall to progess the quest, the room was just empty. The achievement came through though as soon as the last boss went down.

2nd attempt it bugged out at the infermiun or whatever the worm is called.

3rd attempt, same thing worm got stuck.

4th attempt I was able to complete it and hand in the quest to then recieve the major adornment.

I have the title and will probably never use it. I rarely if ever change them from the default on my characters.

Titles can have personal meanings too. Was it a fun run for you? This is the first time ZOS has tried anything of this magnitude and you survived the mess they created. Why not take pride in it? As others have said, it's not your fault so many things went wrong. Players without the title should direct their frustration at ZOS, not those of us who got it.

As for myself, I'm wondering whether to use the title. My experience at the fortress was one of utter cluelessness as I followed people around bashing baddies with my shovel. Got a Worm Cult furnishing plan for my troubles, which was nice. Right as I was preparing for yet another epic fight, the game told me I had gotten "Wall Breaker" and I was left scratching my head. No bugs for me on PC/NA, which was also nice. The fortress was impressive and it's something the devs could develop for future locations, a mix of public dungeon and trial. Minus the bugs, pretty please.

I mean... no. No, you're not weird. No, I don't feel the same.

Personally, I don't think a title should be FOMO. This game already does FOMO events, FOMO store rotations, FOMO loot crates, and FOMO daily rewards. The last thing it needs is EVEN MORE FOMO.

I feel neither pride nor satisfaction with the title. I'm just annoyed that people playing the game 5 days from now will never be able to earn it. They'll never get to experience the writhing fortress, even as a pared down version made for a single player. Just nada. ESO was one of the few MMOs that didn't permanently remove content over the years. And now... we're getting on that path. Will we slippery slope ourselves to Destiny 2 levels of awful? Who knows?

I find it all very distasteful, and I'm peeved at how much time was spent on the writhing fortress that could have been spent on permanent content instead. Eastern Solstice's part of the main quest is surprisingly short and the region only has 4 landmark locations... though after having experienecd yet another variation of the "strong woman deals with inferior, backstabbing, clearly lame male colleague and learns to assert her own inherent greatness" modern story archetype, this time concluding with her just out-in-out killing the fellow in cold blood... I can't say that the lack of additional sidequests is an actual negative. Bleh.

Nope. Except for rare occasions like Jester's or Witches where I'll wear an event-appropriate title (and then forget to turn it off again after the event), only one character uses a title. I've finished Writhing Fortress two-and-a-half times (the half was a bugged instance where I finished both wings, but the final titan was glitched and couldn't be completed), so I have the title and don't feel bad about having it, but I just don't use them.

I just did it on a character that hadn't bothered with Solstice yet and was able to turn it in for my title. IDK if you have a lower level character you can do the fortress with for the title

Wear your title. You earned it. Others understand and they will likely fix it for them. But, in the meantime, that's no reason to feel bad for getting it done. You had good timing by being the first into the fray. That's worthy of enjoying your title in and of itself
