Writhing fortress broken?

Xbox EU the third boss disappeared at 74% so can't complete the fortress.

I also have the problem with Skordo missing, my guess is, since I continued the quest to go to eastern solstice before doing the Public Dungeon quest and Skordo moves in that quest to the Wall and then vanishes and isnt spawned properly again at the camp.

Well not fixed yet. 11/14/25 at 1pm PST (PCEU). Still not allowing to progress, my map shows all bosses completed, can't grapple to the next location at end boss.
Edit: ported out of the instance to Solstice Rampart Camp and the Writhing Fortress instance is complete and the finishing conversation with Prince Azah is available.

You may run the Writhing Fortress as many times as you like while it's up. (7 days from when Phase 3 first unlocked on your server.)

The only one-time reward for this event, and something you cannot complete after the event ends, is getting the "Wall Breaker" title. To earn this reward, you must complete the Writhing Fortress during Phase 3 of the event, which it sounds like you did. Do you have the title?

You do not have to complete the main story quests in Western and Eastern Solstice during this event.

Have you tried leaving the zone and coming back in? That worked last night on PS-EU. He is at the top of the platform where the lens is.

Are you sure about that @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ? I'm on PC/NA so I haven't been able to find out for myself yet, but people in this thread are reporting that once they've completed it on a character they can't go back in:

Trying again to play. Boss broken at 24%, a lot of people there trying to shoot at anything with balistas, but we're unable to go further. Really buggy and frustrating (as, ont top of this, not translated).
This game is going into the wrong direction lately.

I managed to get into a working instance of WF and completed it, but I know a few others are still stuck ☹️ Think I was just very lucky.

I posted that thread. I can get back into the Fortress on my original toon. There's a portal at the wall, and when I entered, there were others there. And the smaller wall blocking the center way was up, so I assume the fight is active.

That portal wasn't there earlier. I bet the 2PM hotfix added it.

I also found travelling to another zone (I chose Coldharbour) and back worked to get the quest givers to appear, as well.

Yeah, that was before today's hotfix was rolled out. Folks should be able to get back in to run it as many times as they like now. We are investigating a few issues that were newly reported this afternoon, though. (I'm working on compiling that list with statuses.)

I managed to get through the last phase with another group.
But Skordo is missing from the camp.
He has probably given up completely and gone on vacation after a month of grinding, I would do the same if I were him

This gave me an idea, but no, talking to Skordo elsewhere doesn't help. The dialogue option is not available.

This is a different quest. Talking to Azah ends the quest "Crossing the Wall", which is the normal Solstice main quest part 6, but not the limited-time event quest ("Support the Fellowship").

When you haven't checked the forums for a couple hours and come back to see this thread has 55 new notifications....I guess I probably will just speed-finish the rest of the zone and go elsewhere to a different game since Zos' fomo event is a nightmare.

I have finished this quest twice now. The first time I got the "Wall breaker" title but on neither occasion did I receive the in-game achievement and memento. Of course I do not know if that is expected or yet another bug.

This isn't a bug, but rather ZOS's standard procedure. They simply expand the loot tables by adding new items alongside the old ones. Take a look at the potential loot from the Witches Festival, for example. You'll mainly find ancient items that hardly anyone can use anymore. Guild masters are urgently requesting that guild banks not be filled with this junk. You'll hardly find a player in zone chat to whom you can sell these old items. So, you can only destroy them. Due to the abundance of old items in the loot tables, the chance of obtaining one of the new items decreases steadily.

And that's exactly the case here. In phase 1, you could loot armor style pages and scales; in phase 2, weapon style pages and bones were added. The chance of getting these new items is therefore naturally lower.

I currently have 147 scales and only 14 bones.

Wall Breaker is just for completing the fortress. The memento is for finishing the quest Crossing The Wall which is part of the main quest. You don't get them at the same time. Not sure what the achievement is but would guess it's a main quest one

Hi @Brodson! Could you check if you have completed the quest called "Crossing the Wall"? The "Wall Breaker" title is different, and triggered by completing the Writhing Fortress. The achievement and memento you are referring to are awarded for completing the Western Solstice main story quests and the "Crossing the Wall" quest. It is not awarded after completion of the Writhing Fortress.

I tried the writhing fortress on PC EU 4 times today.

The first time, at 20:00 local time, at the very start of fase 3, things went well for about 25 minutes. Then everything and everybody around me froze and I got booted.

The second time I could no longer choose a portal, I was told to go left. I walked into an empty, bugged fortress populated only by confused other players, as already described by others.

The third time I was told to go to the soul spire by the middle path (the soul spire path) immediatly. Things seemed ok at first, but quickly I ran into a barrier that was stuck at 69%, not moving an inch in spite of dozens of players bombarding it with ballistas.

The fourth time went exactly as the third time. It's now past 23:00, I'm giving up and joining my partner in watching a nice history series on the telly before going to bed. That was my day off work, next chance to try again is at around 20:00 tomorrow.

I really hope fase 3 at least gets an extension to make up for the lost time.

I would prefer the fortress to remain after it is fixed, either permanently or as part of some returning celebration/seasonal event. The mechanics, as far as I got to experience them, seem really fun and different from most other dungeons. It would be a shame if this was really just for a one-time event.

Have you tried running further inside the fortress and see if you can catch up with the players that are in that instance? A new instance will not be created for every player. It's like a public dungeon. At least that is my understanding of it.
