Developers and game designers are running around trying to populate the Fortress, bit of this here bit of that there, put these unkillable enemies over there....

Then they have to try and actually get Eastern Solstice to work, people expect to be able to get those new skyshards, not just look at them sitting there doing nothing......

Take a day to get everything done they should have had done weeks ago! And then STILL it will not work as intended.

The fortress has been stormed
lots of ballistae

And a lot of repairing
One side then the other

Once the sides are done
Go down the middle to fight
Do watch where you stand

The cool blue water

Forget not the chests

Oh, talk to Skordo
to get and complete the quest

And Skordo appears

Then talk to Skordo

Clear path or open door

Portal at side boss
to return to the middle
tackle the next side

When both sides are down
head down the middle, final fight
take something from light

Portal to Solstice
turn into Skordo up ramp
fortress and quest done

Please do not take this
as defending the choices
made by ZOS

Merely my walkthrough
on how to get this thing done
to move on eastward.
