It's honestly great to see that announcement. A bit sad though that it took over 2 weeks for ZOS to react. They have made several statements within the past few months that they want to be more flexible and able to react faster on player feedback, but while I see some improvement compared to the past years, I'm not sure whether this is reactive enough. How many people in this forum who have been fed up 3 weeks ago might have left by now? Annoyed people won't wait patiently for weeks.

Pretty sure it was planned long ago. They had to guarantee no server hit phase 3 until U48 landed on consoles. Everybody I know pretty much expected it to happen today.

At this point, I'd probably prefer to believe that they have been hit really hard by the budget and staff cuts, especially those halfway through the year, so they had to make do with what and who was left.
Because if this is what they had originally planned and prepared their marketing campaign around, then I'd have some very nonprintable words for whoever thought this would be a good idea.
And one can only hope that they accounted for their lack of resources when planning next year...

I have done it for exactly one day for like 2 hours got bored and stopped entirely.
My life time is to worthful to do senseless grinds for low rewards.
Also i stop playing when vengeance comes. I tried it the first time, it was boring and like everyone stopped playing it on PS EU so i quitted aswell.
ZOS unintentionally drains the population of multiplayer activities with these events, i do not treat the game like a solo game, so i stop till the stuff normalises.

All news articles on the cuts have stated it was for the new MMO, which they had been hiring new staff for. A few articles even note that a couple of dozen staff were salavaged from the defunct MMO back to ESO.

I'm pretty sure that I also read that despite assurances, various people working on ESO and/or with necessary knowledge about ESO have been removed.
