It's honestly great to see that announcement. A bit sad though that it took over 2 weeks for ZOS to react. They have made several statements within the past few months that they want to be more flexible and able to react faster on player feedback, but while I see some improvement compared to the past years, I'm not sure whether this is reactive enough. How many people in this forum who have been fed up 3 weeks ago might have left by now? Annoyed people won't wait patiently for weeks.

Pretty sure it was planned long ago. They had to guarantee no server hit phase 3 until U48 landed on consoles. Everybody I know pretty much expected it to happen today.

    [edit] Apparently not.

This was not planned. We had a meeting today to decide on helping servers along. The team has been looking at the feedback and determined it would be beneficial for everyone to get a boost to get into Phase 3 faster. The only benefit console launch provided was that we are all actively working together for launch, so it made coordinating a lot easier.

This way I have been able to level up subclasses that I do not normally use in any content.

Yeah. I have this mental annoyance that when I go to mess with a build, I need the toon to already be rank IV in both morphs on all possible skills. So I have been going thru toons and ranking up this odd collection of skills on like 3 different toons so far.

At this point just let us get to phase 3 and let’s get over it. Even wile i only do the 3 golden boxes every day , i just dont want to logg in at all . Its borning , its repetitive and sucks out the last fun of this game .

This motivated me enough to do 6 crafting quests and 2 others, but that was all I had the mental energy for. If I see increased progress I will try to do the same again tomorrow.

At this point, I'd probably prefer to believe that they have been hit really hard by the budget and staff cuts, especially those halfway through the year, so they had to make do with what and who was left.
Because if this is what they had originally planned and prepared their marketing campaign around, then I'd have some very nonprintable words for whoever thought this would be a good idea.

And one can only hope that they accounted for their lack of resources when planning next year...

All news articles on the cuts have stated it was for the new MMO, which they had been hiring new staff for. A few articles even note that a couple of dozen staff were salavaged from the defunct MMO back to ESO.

Completely agree on this. A "great" event should be something special, this was not special. If they do something like this again, I will uninstall the game and spit on it. And I fear how phase 3 will be.

Some of you act like yous are being forced to participate these events.
I have done it for exactly one day for like 2 hours got bored and stopped entirely.

My life time is to worthful to do senseless grinds for low rewards.

Also i stop playing when vengeance comes. I tried it the first time, it was boring and like everyone stopped playing it on PS EU so i quitted aswell.

ZOS unintentionally drains the population of multiplayer activities with these events, i do not treat the game like a solo game, so i stop till the stuff normalises.

I have cancelled my ESO+ purely because this whole event has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I'm questioning why I am still paying monthly for this game; and if this is what ZOS thinks is a truly unique and 1 of a kind event, then I have no hope for the future (yeah I know there's still Phase 3 but I'm already over it)

Oh, I stopped doing these quests as well, it's just annoying that we cannot access the content we paid for because ZOS decided that we have to grind the same dailies for 6+ weeks. And if we complain, there is at least a chance that the upcoming events will be better (or at least shorter).

Well the good news is we're almost there. Phase 3. ..and ZOS is hiring...which is always good news for the game...

Yes, a "Financial Analyst" and a "Finance Manager", according to that link.

Actually, the only entry for ZOS is a "Senior Graphics Engineer (Engineering/Programming)". The finance vacancies are for the parent company (if it can still be called that) Zenimax Media.

But it's not like either of them are really hiring a lot of people.

No, filter after "Zenimax Online Studios" and according to that link ZOS is hiring
a "Senior Graphics Engineer" to join our team working on The Elder Scrolls Online

Just to take a reference from a very recent community event for other games where the handling of event was done differently:
    • Progression not tied to specific gameplay loops or specific repeatable quest.
    • Progression for phase 1 completed in a few days.
    • Immediate access to map upon completing phases.
    • Additional celebration event upon completion running for multiple weeks with more rewards for participation.
    • For Free
Solstice was full the first week or two, we could have kept up momentum in similar way and build hype on more hype.
Just by having the event progress much faster would not have been "that" bad. Why we have to wait this long, and then upon completion wait more, and then expect to do the same thing over multiple phases...Please better next time, though doubt I'll pay for it again.
