How are the drops of the Phase 2 crafting plans?

I'm doing the gold boxes on 1 toon, and the 6 crafting quests on all 20 toons. I'm still getting multiple red flags and breton spyglasses a day, but have only gotten 1 Phase 2 plan, a blue one. Are others seeing the same?

FYI, I've gotten 7 caltrops fragments in two days of that ^^ amount of Phase 2 writhing wall quests.

    (edit: clarity)

The phase 2 plans, are they only coming from the alchemy and enchanting quests? I've seen none.

I def DO NOT WANT TO GRIND anymore, it's tedious. I followed SKORDO up to the place I'm supposed to go into up the hill, and it wont let me in, grinded for 3 hours to get up to 0.04 % in phase 2. YOU FOLKS Need to fix the door to LET US THE HECK INTO THE EAST side of the ISLAND, chop chop !!

Access to Eastern Solstice is to be granted during Phase 3, not at the beginning of Phase 2. Even if you were to manage to get in now, the game would automatically teleport you back out.

You do not need to keep grinding in the meantime. The progress for this event is not tied to personal participation, and all the rewards from Phases 1 and 2 will be available after the event. ZOS has already explicitly moved the goalposts at least once in response to the participation rate to ensure the event moves along.

Mabye a U48 thing? I turned in the enchtant/glyph quest at Reistaff on all of my toons that randomly picked it up yesterday and today. I have 14 toons that do all the siege camp crafting dailes.

Maybe. All I know is that it doesn't make much sense not to be able to turn in the glyphs directly at the camp, but having an extra quest step of travelling to Sunport inbetween.

@Syldras I couldn't do this yesterday because I'd already completed all my crafting dailies. But I managed to clip one example of what I'm seeing on PSNA for comparison.

@DenverRalphy Then it's only bugged on PC EU, it seems. I used the very same crafting table at the main camp but Reistaff had no dialogue. Instead, the quest marker sent me to Sunport to the daily crafting turn-in point and then to Reistaff afterwards. It basically had an exttra step.

    No, sorry.

The wall goes down when your server gets to phase 3 and the first group completes the Writhing Fortress

ESO Devs at Bethesda, mind if you go ahead and [post] something in this official writhing wall issue.

We are in stage 2 now, I stood there like everyone else waiting for that 5 minute clock to run down, then skordo appeared with a quest, we accepted it, the Wall had a crack in it and with a door icon to run up the hill and enter it to get to the east side of the island.

Then nothing, I notices after 30 minutes when people realized we still had to grind and there was a 0.00 percentage rate , for me, I seen everyone disappear. And there were like 3 at best, if at all, people still going to these camps that had active attacks on it, which made it hard to complete , and still we cannot get into that door at the wall.

After 3 hours grinding, gets up to 0.4 %, I just quit as well. Nothing makes sense.

Can you please post why this is happening. A month of grinding and I expected to be let into the other side and assumed the wall would crash down from what ever quests we needed to do on that side.

    Please !!!

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom This is happening a lot more frequently since entering Phase 2. Vitrified Souls from siege camps are often more miss than hit lately. The video below shows two back to back siege camp runs. The only editing I've done is fast-forwarding for brevity's sake, and I cut out the random unrelated traveling I took between the two siege camp encounters. Though the timestamp on the mini-map will show that they're back to back.

Is there absolutely nothing that can be done to streamline this a bit? It's a real hit to the motivation when you can't loot quest items despite mowing down large numbers of the appropriate targets.

Still, I am wondering if the crafting blue boxes can also drop the house, as I have been doing the crafting dailies on all my characters hoping for the house to drop.

If it helps, I got the "you already have the house so here's a consolation prize" in a blue Writhing Rewards Coffer (the type for the gathering/souls quests). So it can come from blue boxes, although I don't know specifically about the crafting ones.

You'll want to prioritize the 3 new quests for alchemy, enchanting, and provisioning. You can keep talking to Reistaff until you get the quest you want (without having to accept and abandon), so just keep pestering him until you get one of the newly added crafts. That's especially important for your first quest of the day so you get the gold box for that craft.

I've gotten 2 or 3 of the new plans on PC EU (across 3 accounts), so I'd say the drop rate isn't terrible. (At least until I jinx myself by saying so.)

2 of my accounts got the usual, but the third did a provisioning quest for their gold box, got the recipe for the puddle of wax, I was happy with that.

    I got a rock.
Seriously, I have been getting the same stuff over and again. I share some of it, but the chat spam for the HJ and c for crow crap is overwhelming. I just junk it.
I would like the coldharbor lot but not bad enough to pay for it and not bad enough to waste my days getting the same boring quests for the same (now) unneeded rewards.

Event is pretty much over now on PC na, maybe 10 ppl doing Siege Camps. No one wants to help with the bugged wb,and drops are as bad as before. 3 gold boxes a day and ive got better things too do. 1 out of 10 rating will not do this style event ever again.

The gold boxes I mentioned were from Halloween but it also mentioned the "trifecta" of events. The rewards from all three events at this time are terrible.

The blue boxes from the armorer don't even cover the mats used, the hours spent chasing quest items a waste and the drop rate of anything good is bad.

So I apologize for not spending more of my time listing all "stuff" that was useless.

When doing the Potions quest for the Writhing wall, if my skill level is at anything below max, I cant turn in the quest to Reistaff. I can turn it in if my skill is at max.

I know this has been reported, but I don't know if the level being important has been reported.

Is that quest unprogressable then or can you turn it in in Sunport in the crafting area instead?

Regarding drops of vitrified souls at the camps, most of the I’m getting at least a few, and sometimes I’m getting all 15 from a single camp. My best guess is that I’m either running into an occasional problem with the game’s general cooldown period (since there are times when none of the enemies I kill have lootable corpses), or maybe I’m not among the top 12 players as far as how much damage I’m doing.

The weird thing is, when I do get drops of vitrified souls, I might help clear the waves of enemies at one soul reaper, then I move to help clear one of the other soul reapers and it’s surrounded by lootable corpses even though I didn’t attack any of them.
This explains why I hardly ever get any vitrified soul drops... the server I am trying to get the house on(PC NA), I do the dailies on a tank with 0 riding speed. I'm always late arriving at the camps, and often it takes me 3 or 4 camps to even get vitrified souls to start dropping. After the 3 golden boxes, I do the event's crafting dailies on all my characters, hoping for the house.

Do the blue coffers also have a chance for the home to drop, or only the golden coffers? Do the blue *crafting* coffers have a chance for the home to drop?

I got mine from a gold crafting box. None of the vitrified boxes or other non-crafting ones have dropped much of anything. The blue crafting boxes provide 10x <insert crafting material here> ... and now multiple plans for the Breton Spyglass.

If RNG smiles upon me (which has been historically once every couple of years), it'll happen another three times for the rest of my accts. If not, oh well.
Thanks for that info, atleast now I know the crafting golden box can drop the house. Still, I am wondering if the crafting blue boxes can also drop the house, as I have been doing the crafting dailies on all my characters hoping for the house to drop.

The crafting blue boxes do give a few different plans, have gotten quite a few purple ones myself(defensive wall, stirk tower, banner, etc) from the crafting dailies. Maybe because I am doing so many in hopes for the house to drop. Which is the main thing I want from this event(and the style pages/title).

Suggestion for future events - let a team of ZOS employees play the event on the live server and livestream it from the start. Have them play every day so that they can run into the frustrations players have with the event first-hand.

I still remember when there was a bug with the troll in vSO that had been around for ages… until Rich streamed vSO on Twitch and encountered the bug himself. It got fixed pretty fast after that.
