that there is demand and apparently a very high demand! Make your guild, your kin and friends group free from gold buyers... We can scream at Zen all we want and they have their own cup to fill... but without customer/player conciousness and sensitivity about this, there will always be new ways as long as there is demand. Do you have members who are suspicious? Get rid of them! Do you have friends whom you know and you are silent because he/she is a buddy? Well then you deserve it!

The sheer amount of dreugh wax and stuff needed to upgrade a full suit of armor doesnt help.

First of all I doubt hardly that all bots are from goldsellers. In my experience up to 2 chars above level 30 there seem also many regular players using bots to gather materials.

Second: This is an MMO. That means players can't control completely other players, like you can't control the internet itself (there are viruses? Your own fault).

So trying to give the hot potatoe to the average player, who payed a relativ high price for a game, that is infested by many bots and other plagues is really ridiculous and/or childish.

In fact, there are so many bugs, exploit possibilities, lack of documentation and options, but a wide open programming Interface for all kinds of abuse, that your post is really... just laughable ;)

Honestly the games mechanics promote Gold buying and farming.. can you blame the gold farming companies from exploiting it? i can't, its pretty much Zenimax's fault 100%.. The harder they make stuff hard to get the more customers will cheat to get it..

I don't agree with gold farmers and bots but i know why so many are here..

This is the reality people don't want to accept: HUMAN NATURE is the problem, when people can cheat at solitaire then you know there's a problem.

As all sensible people realise it's the BUYERS that are the root cause, and ZOS apparent refusal to ban them means the supply will continue.

The 'achievers' demand things like mounts, top quality crafting mats, etc. be rarer than hen's teeth so that they get a sense of 'achievement' when they get them and can laud it over those that haven't, but by making highly desirable hard or impossible to get for the majority then HUMAN NATURE takes over.

Unless the DEMAND is dealt with the bots remain: in my experience LOTRO is the only game where bots are largely an irrelevance and Turbine got to that state by being ruthless with the BUYERS and it became well known that 'buy gold get banned' was the name of the game and the buyers stopped buying.

The point! But perhaps they are meant to be rare and the player is not supposed to dress up in a day

Its one of the major problem.
The second are people who use bots for PL / gathering and get vet rank.
There are a lot .. i have seen many running hard donjons with 2 or 3 bots, seen heal them when low hp ... reported them .. nothing happened.

Buyers should be banned as well.
