What happened to light attack animations!?

Is it a bug or the thing they fiddled with the patch? LA with 2h is missing some piece of the animation and it's even worse in 1st person. It has the same issue as Jabs in 1st person wich I reported YEARS AGO.

I know now that it is an intended issue, for anyone wondering. Try LA weave Jabs in 1st person. It is so bad... Now the light attacks in general seems to be utterly crap.

    Combat Animation Memory Reduction, they intentionally removed frames from the animations to make them lightweight apparently, we reported how broken and bad they look on PTS, got completely ignored and it got to the live servers regardless.

    I really hope they rollback this change. :disappointed:

    It was intended to be a part of u46, was massively reported and It didn't happen, but seems ZOS didn't have anything for u48 to release so they decided to put this "improvement" as part of update despite all feedback

    Zos happen, when the patch is that dry it's a time for the old undesirables to be thrown in as "improvements".

    Light attack? What about HA? 80% of the time I can’t even proc Opportunist anymore, lol! ZoS changed HA on purpose, I’m pretty sure of that. Most of the time, HA doesn’t trigger at all!

    Heavy attack is also broken. Initiating a heavy attack with lightning staffs no longer guarantees the channel connection to complete the heavy attack (haven't tested resto staves yet).

    The devs released this update from PTS, with the feedback that it was broken.

    They could just shut down the PTS if the intent with that server is to get feedback.... I mean since they don't even listen to us.
    Man this game keeps getting more content but the overall quality of the game is degrading, it feels like we are in a beta test state.
    I wonder what the person in charge is doing over at HQ

    i wonder that is the purpose, I expect it to be previous generations of consoles and potato pc's.
    ESO don't use much memory, chrome uses more :)
    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Idk dagger light and heavies feel faster to me which is nice. Dont care what they look like since la weaving makes them look all janky anyways.

    I definitely care that whatever they did seems to be *** up my skills firing though, and barswap getting stuck, and tank block bug may be paying another visit...Its always something.

    It's bad, hope this get's tuned quickly or reverted. Maybe it's part of the cross-platform prep. It plays and looks bad, combat timing is off, and animations keep getting stuck.

    My dual wield doesn't look any different, but my bow light AND heavy have changed. Don't like.

    Older consoles don't use the same "game" as new gen ones do so any change just for them could be limited to that specific version of the game.

    It always annoys me when consoles are put forward as the reason for x, y, and z being bad in the game. Nothing to do with the 20 year old engine, no, of course not smh.

    Zos does nothing to quash these rumours and the way the servers have been pitted against each other re the Writhing Wall and the bad feeling expressed here by PC players that shock, horror, grasp pearls, a console could get to phase 2 first just shows the great divide and feeling of separation among us.

    It's more likely to be the increasing combination of companions, vanity pets and zoo builds that are having a bigger impact on performance.

    Going into stealth looks smooth but feels slower, coming out of stealth looks jittery, like pieces of the animation are missing on the arms as you reach to grab the hilt.

    I've honestly not seen any notable change in the animations with staff or dual wield

    I tried a parse with my necro (my main char for trials) and with DW, it's just horrible...
    It seems some light attacks don't seem to register during my rotation.
    This new animation seems to be the problem.
    This problem seems to be with DW weapons only, with the rest (staff, ect) it seems ok

    The blastbones animation has a problem too sometimes, the skeleton appears but my char don't make the animation, it's very weird.

    Some other necro players here ?
