LIGHTWEIGHT FURS is wasting time with such a low drop rate

BUT fighting people to get a shot in on some wolves and bears

You can quadruple or even tentuple your farm speed by inviting the other players to your group. You share loot for each kill, and get extra quest credit for each fur picked up by a groupmate.

Two people separately killing 8 enemies alone get 4 drop chances each. If grouped, they get 8 chances each, and get credit for what the other person picks up, making 16 chances per person (4x). For 3 people, it's 8 each and 16 for their groupmates' drops, making it 24 chances (6x), and so on—except that you'll get more total kills the more people are in the group running around. It also means those players are done faster, leaving more spawns for others.

So even 2-3 people in a group vastly speed it up.

By inviting people to group, it takes about 30 seconds or less, if you're at a spot where others are farming.

I discovered last night that Guar and Giant Snakes also drop animal fat, which expands the places you can get it considerably. That was in Shadowfen on my way to the invaded delve down on the east side - didn't even need the Kaghouti that litter the hill the delve entrance sits on.

Is there a good place to try Giant Snakes? Haven't had much luck with Guar.
Lots of giant snakes (and guar) in Shadowfen in the watery areas north of Deep Graves.

    Shhh!
See and this right here exemplifies why this event design is so bad. Because the quests make players compete against each other for PVE kills you have players trying to keep their grinding spots secret. A well designed event would encourage players to share tips and help each other to have a better/easier time playing the event. Instead we've got people actively trying to keep other players from figuring out how to complete the quests more easily because it might make it take slightly longer for them to complete their own quests.

No, dude. It exemplifies a lack of a sense of humour. /facepalm

I spent the first 3 days of the event in various zone chats telling people they weren't constrained to specific mobs or the designated area; as well as telling people in the guilds I am in where they could find good concentrations of mobs.

Kinda like I did 8 posts ago: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/8380221/#Comment_8380221

Your poor attempt at humour notwithstanding, you were displaying a common reaction I've been seeing in /zone when people share tips on where other players can find drops for the event quests: people who already knew about those places get mad that they're going to have more competition now. Which is the exact problem with the design of these quests.

Really?! Did these same said people also post helpful advice like I did? There is absolutely nothing wrong with the design, the only issue was ZOS putting in guide areas, and people not understanding it is just a guide area.

Wonder if Harpys have the fur too?

Dunno about harpies but it definitely drops from giant bats.
It's a tradition, or an old charter, or something...

See that's the thing about responses like that: nobody knows if you've been giving "helpful advice" elsewhere earlier, everyone just sees your hostile response. Do better.

Or people just have a sense of humour. You know you could simply apologise for your wild and slandereous presumption?!
