Why does the event spoil the current chapter?

So I did the daily on a character that hadn't done Solstice yet and was surprised to see they spoiled every major ally trouble in the current chapter. Why would you spoil the chapter so completely during its related chapter event when tons of your customers are using the related sale to purchase it for the first time. Tons of people wait months specifically to play these events and dive into the chapters...and then you just spoil everything for literally no reason?

I'm glad I knew that stuff already or I'd be super mad. West Weald took me ages to beat because of this similar lackadaisical treatment of massive spoilers during it's preview Livestream that spoiled who Ithelia is. Y'all had announced it as a multi part adventure and then had no respect for those of us who wanted to play all parts binge watcher style. Killed all of the hype for what should have been one of the coolest narrative reveals in eso of all to time for me.

The event is narratively in the middle of the story but I don't think they put consideration into people who are not on the cutting edge of content :# . Someone pointed out that the artwork they're using to advertise the event actually spoils a part of East Solstice, if you know what you're looking at.

It's not only supposed to take place in the middle of the current year's story, it's also related to Part 2. Not saying more as that would be a spoiler by itself. Let's say I can understand why they did what they did (even beyond it possibly being a good method to get people to buy and play the content rather early). Still, I don't think it's a good decision for people who have just started playing the content or decided to play it later, of course.

They can narratively put it in the middle without randomly mentioning character deaths in a pretty offhanded way. Like I understand spoiling the alliances working together because that's not avoidable imo but they spoil a lot more than that. The worm cult is attacking. We've united to stop them isn't exactly rocket science. It didn't need more elaboration than that imo.

And spoiling East Solstice is even wilder! OMG LOL.

That was the complaint with the prologue also, some website article mentioning events and their outcome for certain characters. Devils advocate bit is that they're trying to play into continuation and moving time again after being frozen for 10 years but really it's handled so poorly it's bizarre. When you arrive in a first major zone you're greeted with screaming new prologue literally spoiling and going against two major guilds narratives before even learning you can join them and do their lines and now eventually playing into that also.

Guess completion markers or prerequisites are too much to ask as they still insist flocking new players to the recent shiny.
