Hollow Jack beam feels like a waste

This feels like the equivilant to a santa claus outfit in call of duty...wish it was more serious, lore friendly, thematic... and yes there is hollow jack lore...but its still a silly easter egg

For example a small dragon breathing fire on enemies etc...

    Couldn’t agree more.

It looks so immature, and that’s why it will sell like mad unfortunately.

By this logic, anything immature would sell like mad. I think the real reason is way different.

... Though I totally agree it doesn't feel fitting for the arcanist, who is supposedly a class getting their powers through service to Mora, not Nocturnal... But then... You can mix the (Meridian) templar and arcanist now, too, without any tweaks, so yeah...

(Not to mention this is by far not the worst style offender...)

Correction, the templar is based on Stendarr worship according to various dialog from NPCs, rather than Meridia. Meridia is tied to the fighters' guild, even though most FG abilities would be a better fit for Stendarr...

But I guess they ignored that for story reasons.

    On the actual topic:

Why would anyone pay that much for a horrible looking effect for a single skill?
PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!. Outfit slots not being accountwide is ridiculous given their price. PC EU/PC NA roleplayer and solo PvE quester

I was actually looking forward to it since I love hollow jack stuff and in comparrison to certain elder scrolls more esoteric deep lore this isn't the strangest thing in tamriel (I mean my main can summon the dead and a giant flesh gollum, so why would it be diccifult to conjure a floating pumpkin), but I'm actually a bit dissapointed. Especially for that price I would have expected a bit more nuances effect instead of a stream of yellow and actually almost not being able to see the pumpkin. Then again I hate the colour yellow and I geuss it's supposed to be flames. But its a no buy for me now thay ive seen it, the floating tentacle is more detailed and weird so ill keep using that.
Somebody botwd a little flying dragon and that would alao be cool! All tho it would be nice it they twisted the dragon and the effect to fit Mora's horror.

I think it's actually pretty cool as a thematic skill style. I'd definitely use it during the season.. if it didn't cost 2k crowns.

Yeah, it's not bad by itself, but I just don't see it looking good with the rest of the class skills. And at 2000 crown - that's like $20? - it's just too much for too little. I'd rather see an entire class skill line for that price.

Looks good but the angle of the pumpkin looks wrong. The Face should be facing downward so the laser comes out of the mouth instead of the bottom of the pumpkin.

It's more unimmersive cheap looking nonsense that uses too much, too bright and badly done effects.

Arcanists skills are bad enough as they are with hurting eyes and heads, this thing looks like it's even worse.

      no but

      1. using resources on A they cant be used on B
      2. Turning ESO more and more away from the seriousness and lore of Elder Scrolls and turning it into a second fortnite will turn a lot of elder scrolls fans away over time

For the second point, you can not see this ultimate anyway if you are not casting it yourself. Unless you have checked that show additional ally effects in the settings.

Skill styles were at least supposed to be sold for endeavor coins or event tickets. I also hate the fact that they release skill color styles separately, like the Templar's blue skills, only a few skills came out, and they will release other blue ones one by one throughout the year... ...

Me not buying it doesn't stop me from being forced to see others extremely glowing nonsense. Been a complaint of me constantly the latest years because they have gone more and extreme with these effects, which aren't even well done imo.
At first it was the odd radiant mount, now it's every radiant mount and even others, recall customsations, gathering customsations, weapon styles, skillstyles, even putting on a damn skin needs a bang and flash now.
Trying make trials and dungeons with guilds or just visiting a town for some writs and trading is almost possible because my eyes and head will hurt, or there is a chance at any time someone will summon a nuke infront of me.

Not to mention how all of these crown skillstyles are overpriced (which gets even worse when the quality isn't even good). For the cost they have it should be a complete set. Like giving all Dragonnight's skills with fire a different colour. Or changing the green in all of an arcanist skills a different colour. Not a few or even a single one.

I'm glad this particular style can be hidden by an option (it can, right?), so at least there's that. If they're going to inundate us with all this flashy garbage, we need an option to turn them off.

It's not coherent with anything in the Arcanist class or the Herald skill line. They really should have a more systematic approach to skill styles. There's enough visual pollution that we should have coherent styling within skill lines at least. And coherent styling that makes lore sense.
