As I understand it, you can log in on two accounts at the same time BUT you cannot use any type of software/macros to control them together....

So basically move one then swap windows and move the other. Technically as he/she just left his healer standing there I think he was not breaking ToS but it is a very grey area! :)

"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

Not as long as you are manually controlling both and not using any automation. Zeni’s weighed in on this before.

Teleporting to bosses to join encounter in progress lets people afk farm dungeons and get full XP. This is used both by people just afk farming and by people leveling accounts.

Weak! Multibox and play one character with your feet.

If someone can simultaneously beat Malenia on two different characters (one with a controller and the other a dance mat), it can't be hard to do ESO dungeons.

You can only alt-tab nothing more. You can't use multiboxing or whatever sw to control simultaneously two or more account at the same time.

Edit: You can use dance mat or whatever controls on the second PC or laptop or steamdeck ;)

Could it work playing 2 heavy attack builds on 1 mouse each, one in each hand, using a split screen or 2 monitors?

    Yes that would be fine,

Essentially ZOS has clarified multiple times, 1 button press must = 1 action. If you have 2 mice and click both of them (2 button presses) 2 actions is ok. If you bind both characters to 1 mouse (1 button press) then that = 2 actions which is against TOS.

Just my opinion, obviously, but I don't think this is right if it's being done in a 4-player PUG, unless all players in the PUG agree to it beforehand, because as the OP noted, it deprives the group of one of the roles, plus it essentially bypasses the mechanic for vote-kicking a group member since the person who the group wants to kick is controlling two of the characters. It may not be against the TOS as far as multi-boxing, but it ought to be considered an exploit as far as the two points noted.

You're not forced to group with them. If it bothered me that much, I would just leave and move on with my gaming day. I do think it is kind of crappy to do in a pug, unless it is basically something you can solo anyway. AFAIK it is not against any ToS what they are doing unless they were automating the healer somehow.

*shrug* - it's def obnoxious and selfish, but some people are like that everywhere in life. That's why I rarely group with randoms. In terms of being an offense, it's kind of a grey area - what they're doing isn't against the ToS unless they are using automation to control both accounts, as others have said. There are people who, for example, join BG's and random dungeons and don't pull their weight or don't even try, for various reasons, even outside of this specific issue.

This probably overall isn't something zos can easily act on because the line between someone intentionally griefing their group and someone just being bad at the game or having a connection or PC problem or some IRL distraction like an emergency or a work phone call... it's not necessarily going to be immediately obvious on zos' end if they review the situation... and they definitely don't have the time and manpower to investigate every report of someone not pulling their weight in a group. Maybe if someone is reported for like, afk'ing in dungeon groups or bg's regularly, it will start to get their attention. But it's still not exactly a cut and dry offense. Idk.

At the end of the day, random groups are just going to be bad sometimes, for a million different reasons. Sometimes you gotta just leave and try again for a better group. Or group with friends and guildies to have more control over the situation.
