These two are still bugged as of this patch.

It's supposed to automatically opened and read accepting those quests right? What triggered them not being added? Did you close it too fast maybe?

EDIT: is this another grouped party bug? I do not know what you were doing at the time, so just throwing out ideas.

I have no idea. These are from the Reach so i am guessing i did these quests on the release date. I remember logging in on that day and doing these basic things. But i am not sure if i was grouped or not. In my alt characters i have these books.

The Reach has the most bugged books of any Zone.

The Reach has the most unfixed known bugs of any zone... (Pale Order clue, cough cough)

Does anyone know if the PTS Patch Notes v.11.2.0 fixed some books ???

I read the report, but I didn't find anything.

    We are forgotten, like always....

In the past, a few bugs in Eidetic Memory books, notes, etc. have been fixed, but they weren't included in the Patch Notes.

Do we know when these will take effect? Maybe after tomorrow? Or do they put them in the major updates?

Whenever this update goes live, there’s usually several weeks of PTS before the update.

Of all the things that are completed for our accounts by one character... why can't ZOS make the lorebooks that way??? It would take care of a LOT of issues right away - certainly for lorebooks not collected during (or before) quests are completed!!

There are tons of books which are actually per character. Actual Mages' Guild lorebooks, skill books, quest books, location discovery books, etc... So it's not at all easy to make that just account-wide.

... Then there are also books with variables. I am not sure if these include only character's name/class/alliance/race/sex, but even those are more than enough... Now if there are any with variables dependant on quest choices or anything like that...

Never thought it's necessary to make them account-wide, always wondering, why not install a NPC somewhere. Knows-all-books, the librarian, maybe. Eyevea seems a good location for him/her. You go there and just ask for a specific writing (with search function, of course) and it will be checked, if requirements (quest done, zone completed, tot-card activated, ...) are fullfilled (except the have-read-variable). And to avoid, that someone goes there just to read all books, instead to collect them in the world, only one or two requests per day are allowed. Or, just quest-related books are available there. For example.
    Wouldn't that be easier? I don't know.

Personally, I'd make them account wide but locked behind completing shalidor's library per character.

That would be an interesting solution. Quest finished? Unlocked at the librarian.

This is in line with the companions and other things. The eidetic memory is not directly linked to the mages guild skill line other than the regular shalidor books which we have before that’s unlocked so it wouldn’t break that piece I wouldn’t think.

This week’s PTS - any ideas?

I got a response from ZOS on my other forum post to this by the way...
Are any of the books listed on the "Known Issues" page on UESP fixed with this patch?
    https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Lorebooks_Known_Issues

That particular patch note refers to specific Eastern Solstice books that were associated with quests that could be missed while questing and locked off.

I'll note down the Lorebooks Known Issues you linked, however, and we'll dig into those to see what's going on.
