I hate having to complain about anything in this quest, because I adored it. But I did catch a few things, so here goes:

HEAVY WARNING FOR SPOILERS

When first speaking with Darien in the Palace District to receive the quest, his pronounciation of "Alinon" has changed from what was used in Camlorn:
this happens again later at the tavern

The lines available to use in dialogue with him beneath Gristmung Hold are identical to the ones already seen back in Sunport, despite his lines being different:
vtwfwxrnisoz.png

Once inside the fort, but before Darien's ambient line about the library triggers, if we enter dialogue he will once again have his lines from Sunport (despite having already 'kicked down' said door a few moments ago):

Mannimarco's subtitles will fade out when his audio is only halfway through these:
ewbc3vakfxpk.png
disappears after "...nature?"
pptfbap6zeyt.png
disappears after "...flesh."

Darien's comment once Mannimarco's image disappears refers to something I can't find a trace of, he says "Pets?" but Mannimarco doesn't, was it said earlier elsewhere?

If we have to complete Broken Light Temple's quest during The Golden Knight in order to progress it, after turning it in to High Priest Eraamine we have a prompt to 'Meet Darien Inside Broken Light Temple' which takes us to a spot near the Cynosure doors, (before moving to indicate we should go through them) where Darien's voice can be heard nearby but he's not visible (sounded like he was in the same room though, maybe behind the player, but not through the doors):
https://youtu.be/_I_rQrxU79k[/url]

The scenes inside the Cynosure play out exactly the same way regardless of whether you entered the Temple with Darien or had to complete the sidequest first. However the animation from the Cynosure Orbs we'd absorbed into the Translocation Rod (potentially only moments earlier) is back in effect, with zero explanation given.

At the end of our discussion with Lortharil the Radiant, none of the 'player response' options change what happens next - which I'm guessing is deliberate - and in the fraction of a second it takes for us to turn around, Darien, or rather, his 'passenger', has already slain all four of the Aurorans who were surrounding him, but to maintain the ruse that we are making a choice here, could the dialogue options have the red effect applied to indicate the choice is permanent?

Darien's sword changes colour in this scene - whilst sheathed its crossguard/pommel are gold and the hilt is wrapped in brown leather, then when in his hand or on the ground they're a dark steel with a grey-blue wrapped hilt:

Gabrielle wasn't in the Rivenspire questline... so why does Darien say she was there? (Gwendis was, but he's already listed 'those crazy vampires')

During our chat with Vanus back in Sunport, there's a discrepancy between the audio and onscreen text of his dialogue:
4109y488icgz.png
This happens for both scenarios, as it looks to be the exact same files used for this line.

If the Vestige fails to pull Darien back in the Temple and instead is given the farewell scene at the docks, the path of a Stirk Fellowship Soldier sandboxing in that vicinity will have him cut right through Darien's dialogue screen between you, or bump into the player's character and nudge them around. Could his path be relocated to prevent these interruptions? I had him cut through right as Darien finished delivering some very heartwrenching lines, and ended up laugh-crying:
7c53bzpenyhd.png

Occasionally when entering dialogue with Darien in the Tavern scene his animation would glitch and he'd stare at a fixed spot to the left of shot while speaking. Exiting and re-entering dialogue would reset it and he'd resume his more expressive style.

Not an issue, but a request: in Laredon's House, is there any chance of opening the door from the bedroom into the smaller, locked room in the northeast corner and showing it to be a bathroom? As nod to one of Darien's lines in the Smolder Scrolls, since his attire in this scene is a throw back to Artaeum (and just where was he keeping those guards and boots anyway, or had he tracked them down along with the Lion Guard Captain's armor because of the memories potentially attached? Daggerfall Covenant pieces should certainly be obtainable if there are soldiers coming from Cyrodiil to assist the Fellowship.)

Rough edit of the quest with all six endings for anyone wanting the cheat sheet:
    https://youtu.be/weyo0eCHvAI

Bear in mind that not all of these dialogue options / endings will be availble to your alt, depending on which quests they've completed in the base game and Summerset, and I may be missing potential content related to Coldharbour due to the current bug.

And a version done on a template alt who only first met him in the Colored Rooms after Gabrielle called him back:

I’d honestly be fine if they went back and retroactively added Gabrielle in rivenspire considering we will likely never get more screentime with her.

Just noticed that if I take a path that fails in the Temple / concludes Darien's quest in the Tavern, but go to Laredon's House before turning the quest in, the door will be unlocked and Laredon is missing.

Entering is still considered trespassing, (and 'waking up' to that prompt had me snorting, what did we do, pick the lock in a drunken haze to get in?)

My Vestige does own a very convenient room right upstairs in that Tavern*, so I can only imagine what antics we might have been causing during a presumably increasingly drunken journey across town, and now I'm imagining a '(K)night to Remember' style follow-up quest, because goat-Sanguine would have been idling nearby if his quest was already completed, and we all know he'd have been delighted to encourage us.

*But I do realise that attempting to use our rooms for this scene would be impossible for a number of reasons, I'm not complaining.

    UPDATE:

Took one last run through this quest after completing Coldharbour to unlock any extra dialogue, and this did add to Darien's memories we can prompt him with during the Temple scene where his 'passenger' is attempting to take over his mind.

However, if Coldharbour is chosen first, then Summerset, the onscreen text for the remaining choices will suddenly look like this:
    nzgus6tsk21r.png
Which makes me wonder whether the on-screen text is affected whenever Coldharbour is picked first, no matter which is picked next, or only in this combination?

I'll leave this quest active for now, in case I have time to rerun it and check before the PTS3 patch, but I still need to complete this on a Template alt first, so if anyone else can check/confirm that would be amazing.

Now for the runthrough on my CP3600 Template alt, with zero previous history with Darien.
(She had no quests completed prior to Solstice, not even the Prologue, and although she had to go back and complete quests 1-4 of Part 1 in order to progress past the Writhing Fortress, she started with Part 2.)

While speaking with Darien in Sunport after accepting the quest, he says he remembers us, but he literally met this character days ago in the Colored Rooms, they have no shared history prior to him being brought back:
    lbq3bq5eggnm.png

I still haven't found any reference to 'pets' despite Darien mentioning the term as though it's come up recently, and the subtitles for this disappeared before Darien had finished speaking:
    ens8txhh4ip1.png
    after "...words..."

Before beginning the Broken Light Temple quest, Darien's dialogue has a discrepancy between the audio and onscreen text:wnljw9g976cp.png
As an aside, at Broken Light Temple, the animation for using the Translocation Rod has severe jitter, it seems that it wants your character to back up before it will run - could the activation range be extended, so that we can start the animation from further away and prevent this?
    https://youtu.be/dWs8ic5aEjM

Towards the end of the Broken Light Temple quest, this ambient line had no audio, I only knew it was supposed to have played by seeing the subtitle:
    u4810yslc2wf.png

The subtitle for Tomaron's ambient line faded out before he'd finished speaking:
    8g937ouf5i0s.png
    after "... Meridia!..."

During the fight against Tomarion, I don't know whether I was unintentionally clipping these lines by progressing too quickly or not, but this line cut off halfway through:
    0jwolshxd3hs.png
    after "...Can't..."

I had no audio for this line at all:
    nkwzth7agot5.png

And this line's audio only began halfway through:
    szod4jsednse.png
    beginning with "...too powerful..."

After turning in Broken Light Temple's quest to Eraamine, and remembering Darien's disembodied voice in a previous run where I'd had to complete the BLT quest midway through TGK (on my copied alt), I ignored the quest marker and checked the rest of the room for Darien, finding him down the far end near the entry doors. Once I moved within range, he began running towards the doors to the Cynosure, as if we'd arrived and entered together. Not going over to collect him might have been why following his quest marker to the Cynosure doors led me to only hear his ambient dialogue, but not be able to see him last time? Could the quest marker be moved to initially sit at his spawn-in location, then move to the Cynosure's doors?
    n8ahb7t4ub3z.png

The subtitles for Lortharil the Radiant's initial ambient line disappear before he finished speaking:
    6r0qergarheh.png
    after "...light within..."

Speaking with Lortharil, as a brand-new character who has *not yet completed any content prior to SOTWC pt 1*, let alone even started the Main Quest, why would he say that we have a 'deep' bond with Darien (when we're guaranteed to fail to bring him back to himself in a few minutes' time), or that Meridia names us her ally?
    t50kuqrzcv8o.png
It would make more sense to cut those points from this version of these lines.

Darien's sword changes color depending on whether it's sheathed or in his hand / on the ground in this version too.

Speaking with Darien while he's struggling to overcome his 'passenger' and regain control, he mentions 'Everyone's sacrifices-Gabrielle's, yours..." but for a character who he's only just met, what have we sacrificed for him?
    d2s9t0j2npn5.png

Speaking with Vanus back in town, he again has this discrepancy between his audio dialogue and on-screen text:

Just based on context, I would guess that an earlier draft of Mannimarco's line used "Meridia's pets" instead of "Meridia's radiant knights." They may have decided to make Mannimarco's line more explicit as to what he was referring to, but forgot to revise Darien's response accordingly.

Or maybe Mannimarco's final line used to be:
"Meridia's radiant knights will come once they realise she's lost her pets."

Either way, Darien's mention of 'pets' seems to be orphaned by some change or another.

As for Laredon's House, this can be found unlocked, with Laredon missing, by an alt who has not even started any of Part 2's quests, let alone 'The Golden Knight'.

It's still considered trespassing, but there's currently zero risk of being caught while looting anything in there.
checked on both template and copied alts
