[BOW] Snipe - doesn't crit from crouch.

I'm having problems with the Bow's skill "Snipe".

I can't get a crouched crit.

Are you able to do it ? Am I doing something wrong or it is just bugged ?

I had to spec out of bow, just too many abilities were either not working (from what I noticed) or abilities (such as magnum shot) would go through the animation, hit the target, and not count. I wouldn't lose stamina, the mob wouldn't lose health, but I still wasted the time the animation took. I just got frustrated and moved to something else.

snipe seems to work fine for me from crouch. nor do I seem to have the issues ErilAq said he had. Was just running around CH today infact with no issues.

see, I'm not having any trouble with my destro staff, but magnum shot and crystal shards can have those animation problems for me. I'm not entirely sure why it happens, since my computer and internet can easily handle this game, but it definitely does.

Works fine for me. Highest hit I had that I recall was 1009.

Have the same issue with it, or it doesn't even go off despite being at the right range so I removed it from my bar. Too many weapon skills and class skills are bugged. It makes it worse since I made a nightblade vampire bow user and pretty much that's a triple threat of broken abilities.

just curious as I havnt had the chance to test. when setting up for a snipe from crouch, do you crouch first then pull back the bow or can you start holding down the bow first and hit crouch so you are doing both actions at the same time?

The reason I am asking is maybe one has to crouch fully first then fully pull back bow to get the bonus or its okay to do both simultaneously. Becuase if its the first that takes WAY too long when leveling. In pvp I could see doing a long setup to get that first remendous hit, but for leveling it takes so long it drives me crazy.

I always shot from an already hidden position, and still had the crit/animation issue.

I haven't had any bugs related to Snipe and I've been using it for awhile on my NB.
Make sure that if you're attacking from stealth that you hit them in the back half of their body as the front half doesn't count as a sneak attack.

I would also recommend using FTC if you're not because it shows you the numbers you hit.

Hm, I've one shot killed creatures and mobs with Snipe, and sometimes it takes 2 hits. And these are around my level.

Double check to make sure the eye icon is fully closed. I've had it be that and literally when I use Snipe it starts to open, which could be causing a problem.

And what is FTC? An add-on?

I was fully crouched, at right range, from behind on a static mob (no possible last minute turn). No crouch multiplier.
I succesfully tested:
1. heavy attack - ok
2. poison arrow - ok
3. scatter shot - ok
4. arrow spray - ok
5. snipe - NO

i also use a bunch of other skills (concealed weapons - uppercut - various heavy attacks) and everything seems to work fine ...
