Nope, it's just information - of which I was unaware before today, assuming like most that most botters were either Chinese slavers or just completely stupid.

Yeah I'm still trying to figure out what to do about my subscription...I'm really sad the game turned out like this. I'm probably just going to finish up with my third alliance and call it quits
I really wanted this game to work out, I love the rest of the series but...oh well.

Wife and I initially unsubscribed, because of the lack of grouping in main quest-line instances, but we re-subscribed in the hopes they'd un-screw that aspect of this MMO. So we've been doing side-quests together, which don't force solo-instancing.
But if the bot piece continues to spiral out of control, we may well just cut sling and spend time together on SWTOR.

It's spiraling out of control fast at the moment. I had a couple of days where I barely encountered a single bot earlier this week, but now it's just insane.
Maybe disabling API
The ESO Add on system cries out to be abused.
ZOS deafening silence on the topic says it all. They have not even truly acknowledged there is a problem. At least I have seen no official statement to the fact.
Yes, a few band-aid procedures have been halfheartedly applied. This uncanny silence however ( in me) awakens the suspicion that; either ZOS has no clue what to do, or that they are unwilling to have the game undergo massive surgery.
There is no daub that successfully getting rid of the Bots will mean the loss of potentially tens-of- thousands of accounts and consequently the loss of revenue.
Right now I tend to think (just my opinion and money talking) only if more revenue gets lost by players leaving the game because of the Bots then revenue is generated by keeping the bots, things will change.

Good to know.
However benign your intent is, you are advertising them.
