Long story short: I'm building a library. It will have every readable lorebook currently available to peruse. I'm in the laborious process of putting the books on the shelves. Something has been bugging me and I finally worked out what. I mean, I can't be the first one to spot this in 8.5 years, right?!

    It's the ancient nord bookcase, right? One of the most problematic ones, took me hours, before every book hanging over wide enough for beeing readable.

    No, it's more that if you look at the book with the Oblivion symbol in the correct upright front cover position, its spine is instead on the right side of the book instead of the left, which is completely opposite of every book ever created.

    Yeah, the books that use the Daedric letter Oht as their cover have always been "backwards" (or, the correct way around if you happen to be from Japan). I figured that by this point it was a deliberate design choice to hint at their otherworldliness.

    Japanese reads top to bottom, right to left, BUT the book's spine is still on the left when closed.
