Which Companion Ultimate is your favorite?

Every Companion's Ultimate ability is located in their Class damage dealer line, and as a result those abilities primarily focus on dealing damage, often applying a powerful debuff to the enemy or dealing execute-scaling damage. Every Companion's Ultimate is unique to them, and will not be given to future Companions.

However, some Ultimates are better (visually and/or functionally) than others — so which Companion Ultimate is your favorite?

Sharp-as-Night's "Gore" (Beasts of the Hunt)
For me, Ember's Ultimate is incredibly useful for an AoE cleave build, so that skill alone makes me build Ember as an AoE damage dealer.

But I'd actually say that Sharp's Ultimate is my favorite. Gore can be cast from a range and with a short cast time. It does execute scaling damage, and it generally has no downsides for whatever build you put on Sharp.

Compare that with my least favorite Companion Ultimate, Baneslayer, which is melee range only and has a very long cast time. Isobel's Ultimate is so bad that I deliberately never slot it.

    Ember's "Raging Storm" (Lightning Caller)
I like Ember's because I use her as a dps and it is a solid dps ult.

Generally though, I use Mirri (and sometimes Isobel) as tanks. Because of the long cast times, they too often lose taunt while casting their ult so I don't let either use an ult. Too bad about those looonng cast times but I want their solid taunting more than any damage from them.

Azandar al-Cybiades's "Vigorous Tentacular Eruption" (Scholar of Apocrypha)
Azandar's ult feels the most useful. It boosts your own damage, applies AOE cc, and does decent damage for a companion.

ember, azander, or mirri are good because they provide debuffs or good dmg to the target

bastians is meh, because its centered on him instead of the target, isobels is by far the absolute worst because of its 4 sec cast time (its so bad in fact i unslotted it so she cant use it)

Azandar al-Cybiades's "Vigorous Tentacular Eruption" (Scholar of Apocrypha)
For gameplay, Azandar's is by far my favorite for the AOE major vulnerability, followed by Mirri's, for its own damage boost debuff. I'm not big into the apocrypha tentacle spells aesthetic though so, otherwise, I prefer Mirri's since it's a simple and pretty red spell.

I think Gore is probably the most useful. Azandar's ulti is a lot of fun (it's so funny watching goblins being flung up in the air) but the 2 second cast time leaves him vulnerable. I found he dies more with it slotted, so I removed it.

They are all pretty meh, but Bastians I hate because it likes to pull extra mobs or aggro things you didn't intend. Companions in general are pretty meh functionally besides roleplay.

Ive honestly only ever used Sharp's Ultimate, so I don't think I've ever seen the others use theirs, even if someone else has a companion out. Or maybe they dont stand out like Sharp's does. I mean where else do you see spectral Kagouti?

    @LunaFlora

Set a Kagouti as your active mount. Scribe the "Trample" skill from Assault skill line. Cast trample and summon a Kagouti to trample your enemies!

It has a cast time and for that reason is rarely used in the popular builds. But is cool and fun, especially in more casual content where you are not worried about max DPS or getting one-shot in the middle of a cast.

Mirri Elendis's "Impeccable Shot" (Deadly Assassin)
Mirri's is without question the best. Azandar's gives a named debuff which is good at 10% for 4 seconds, but MIrri gives an unnamed debuff at 20% for 3 seconds. If you've got 11 people in a trial and 1 Mirri, that debuff will amplify the entire trial's dps by 20% for 3 seconds on that target every time she fires and it stacks with the vuln debuff that azandar gives (and other stuff gives, ie turning tide or colo). Hands down, most powerful ult. Even in solo, she has the most powerful single-target companion dps you'll see if you yourself can do good dps. I have her in all purple ulti-gen gear and a bow build with the medium armor skill for survival.
