increase the random quests from mages and fighters guild

I think it would be nice if the guilds handed out delves and other open world content that was spread out more across the entire world. Thoughts

    Pointless without changing the rewards. They need to extend the Guilds passed base game and make the daily's worthwhie.

    They can't expand the base game Guild quests into DLC zones because that could block player access to those quests. To make the quest assignment a smart selection based on player/account availability would require a complete overhaul of the system currently in place. And that ain't happenin anytime soon.

    [edit] Not to say I wouldn't like to see it. I think it'd be great if it did happen.

    The Fighters Guild hands out dolmen quests, so I can't see that getting expanded since DLC world events already have their own daily questgivers.

    The Mages Guild hands out public dungeon quests (of a sort), so expanding that to include public dungeons in expansion zones seems more doable-- although if the rotation were to get expanded to include zones which some of the playerbase can't access, that would not be good for those players. If it could be done such that inaccessible zones are automatically skipped over in the rotation, that could work.

    I've been thinking about whether the Undaunted guild could be used for handing out daily world boss quests in the base game zones, since there are currently no daily questgivers for those. Maybe a new Undaunted NPC could be added who gives out such dailies? World bosses do seem like they'd be the sorts of encounters that the Undaunted might be interested in-- more so than the easier delve quests that Bolgrul hands out, anyway. It would probably be easier to add a single new questgiver at the three Undaunted enclaves than to try to add a new questgiver in each basegame zone, and it could be a way to encourage players to engage with the basegame world bosses more.

    I like the idea of adding base game WBs to an Undaunted quest giver - although it could also be a Fighter's Guild representative (also thematically appropriate). DLC WBs have their own zone quest giver, after all.

    It could be like the undaunted. A quest giver for dlc and a quest giver for base game.

    How would FG and MG dailies for DLC zones be any different from the current dailies in those DLC zones? Every DLC zone comes with a series of dailies already.

    If anything, I could see expanding Bolgrul’s daily pool to offer more than one delve per zone, but lorewise the FG and MG daily pool is reasonably complete, and anyone who wants dailies for delves/WBs/incursions in DLC zones can go find those daily quests from questgivers in their respective zones.

    Also agree with this. The base game has six delves per zone, 5 zones per alliance, for a total of 150. Bolgrul currently hands out 15 different locations. He could easily have his pool increased, or give out an additional bonus delve.

    They can by having quest givers in the Mages/Fighters Guilds in the DLC zones.

    They should make a few changes.

    They should make have it so that bolgrul gives a quest for every delve to his pool, so that eventually, you would visit every one.

    Change the dailies in dlc zones so that completing an incursion, world boss, or delve daily gives you progression in one of the 3 guilds.

    Right now mages guild and undaunted guild grinds are still bad.

    I'd like to see some custom quests added to all of these guilds rotations as well. It feels a shame that the fighters guild and mage's guild aren't things we interact with more considering how iconic they are to the franchise.

    That's a good point. The MG quests are just the simplest of fetch quests, and could do with a little more lore and magic, and less "go there fetch that".

    Maybe they can have more than one quest giver, like the undaunted ones. The existing ones could give out quests in the base game, like they do now. The other ones would give out quests located in the DLC zones. The FG one could give out any of the DLC incursions - harrowstorms, mirror, dragons, etc. Yeah, they'd duplicate what the daily quest givers are doing in each DLC zone, but there could be a different set of rewards.

    These suggestions would be good for new players, but for players like me who did these on so many characters and swore they’d never do them again because of the terribly slow grind in the skill line, I am not sure it would be enough. I don’t group with people so it’s one quest per day. I’d rather find lorebooks, which is also a grind but can be done faster, or kill daedra and undead because it’s faster. I can do these by myself.

    I know they increased the rewards for these dailies but as far as I know it’s still a paltry amount of xp gain in the skill lines.

    I am also unsure they would add more daily quests for this when they reduced the number of daily quest locations from five to three in Solstice. Not to say I am opposed to the idea, if they added them it would not bother me and I could just ignore them, but we are getting less now instead of more.

    It would have been nice to make that change years ago.
