New Furnishing plans 1in 5 drop rate

Which plans are you getting and where are you farming? I've been farming urns in Solstice and the usual spot in the West Weald. Have not see a single new birdhouse or art furnishing plan.

Look... New furnishing plans dropped today that are earned by opening the Solstice daily coffers.
As it sits, the drop rate is about 1 in 5. That means that I have already collected all 26 new furnishing plans, being Tide-Born and Sunport.

Secondly, it was a question if it was intended? NOT that I was complaining. Or do you mean "Bringing attention to" ? Because there is a difference @Lugaldu .

More than 32 I guess.

I did dailies on all my chars and I got 8 unique and 2 repeats (out of 64 daily coffers).

Am I understanding this correctly? In one day, you have done 5 times 26 Solstice dailies (1 in 5 drop rate)? Doing the math, two Solstice dailies per alt, you did dailies on 65 alts ... so you have at least four different accounts running dailies on almost a full set of alts?

Wow. It will take me more than one day to do this on PS/NA with my one account. Just saying.

Have they changed the drops so you can't pre-farm coffers? I've pre-farmed for years. I was doing it on console for U47 until I saw this thread. Will those pre-farmed coffers not have a drop chance?

Oh right, pre-farming. Sorry, OP did not say anything other than imply the number of crates they opened on the first day. My bad. Probably pre-farming allowed this high number of crates to be opened on day 1.

Separately, I think it is a terrible idea to reduce the drop rate after one or more players have collected all the items. I realize that if ZOS does this, then the OP and other farmers would be able to sell what they already farmed for lots and lots of gold. But it doesn't sound right to me for the OP to be "asking" ZOS to look into the drop rate, since reducing it now would greatly benefit the OP.

Yes, prefarming is a thing.

For years the drop rates for furnishing have been 1 in 50.

I have farmed the dailies in Solstice on several toons since it dropped... And slacked a bit to cause I like to do other stuff in the game besides farm? maybe...

I had over 600 coffers on 10 toons thinking that the drop rate would be the same. But it wasn't. And honestly I was expecting or hoping for at least 1 purple drop from all of the boxes!

Anyways.. fun fun, I'm starting my farm again. Eventually adding a new daily coffer type to the pile.

I’m saddened by reading this. Necrom, Apocrypha, and West Weald had atrociously low drop rates for those furnishing plans and it would have been great to actually get something other than a rare green plan this time around.

Like someone said, by the time we get this on consoles the drop rates will be minuscule again.

. 20 tries doesn't mean the odds aren't still 20% per try. You are never guaranteed a win with random odds.

Are you sure? Because I did ~10-12 and found two purples, two or three blues, and like 5 greens. I like this drop rate, it makes the effort feel rewarding. Though I am sure the plan prices will plummet, I ate them on my main crafter anyways. I already have my first green duplicate.

I could have done many more but I started late and only did ~half my chars. Will give it a more solid effort later today.

Something good happens that benefits players that's not an exploit and of course someone has to run to Zos. Now those of us on console will most likely have that "fixed". That's a real...thing you did.

So questioning something in game is "Running to ZoS?" Im sure by now if they didnt want the drop rate so high, they would have addressed it. Or maybe they are all on Vacation right now and no one from ZoS reads these forums and flags this as "Unintended"

I'm not un sympathetic to your grind. Iv have played and grinded zones for months, just to be told to do it again, and then again. Until I was so utterly sick of it, I walked away from the game. Then came back to do it all over again.

With that being said. It is NOT my fault if they change the drop rates. Just like its NOT my fault that you play on Xbox...

I read there is a 20 hr cooldown once you have received a new plan. Is this true?
Also, where are the birdboxes dropping? Just coffers from all regions or by farming containers too?

Eh it's not your fault man. It just sucks to think of yet another grind that shouldn't be as difficult as it is. Its frustrating.

It is not true for Solstice. I have received at least three purples on the same acct in the same day.

TBH I much prefer this drop rate to the absolutely hideous drop rate from the algae-laden bag thingies.
