I finally completed this month's GP and have two questions regarding the rewards. The crafting stations have the word "Attunable" which I guess means that I can turn them into a copy of any open world specialty crafting station. So, if I do that can I then change my mind and re-attune them into a different type later?

I hope the answer is yes. Otherwise, what's the point of these stations?

After attuning they are permanently set for that set.

The point is that players can collect attunables over time to eventually be able to craft all of the crafted sets in their home. This is extremely useful for players who do large numbers of master writs, for example.

On a smaller scale, one might simply attune stations to a basic/common crafted set like order's wrath, which they could then craft in their home for future use (ie: new builds or characters), or to sell.

They indeed may not be all that useful for players who have little interest in crafting and/or housing. Many guilds offer such things in their guild halls.

I usually go to a guild house to craft master writs, but before I started doing that, I attuned all the stations located in Cyrodiil so I would never have to go there just to craft a master writ.

You are correct on the attunables: they let you make sets that would otherwise require going to the in-world stations.

Sorry to disappoint on the last bit, but no. Once attuned, they are always attuned to that set with no take-backsies. My first attuned set was something that turned out to be pretty much useless outside of the (very) occasional Master Writ asking for it. IIRC, I eventually ended up sticking them in the Snowglobe house to use as regular crafting stations and make New Life writs a bit quicker to turn in.

General set suggestions: heartland for training, orders wrath for any dps, hundings for stam dps, julianos for mag dps.

For tanking: heartland, forified brass, torags pact.

These are general, all purpose sets. Specific builds, or PVP, can/will be different.

I would also suggest Tide-born Windwalker as a DPS set.

Since I can use any of my guild halls when I need it my first attuned set I went for nostalgia. Twice born has a place of honor in my first house build for what once was..../tears....
