What does this icon mean when white?

I'm aware this icon means that the item is not in collection when it's green, but now I see it some times in white too. What does it mean when it's white?

It means you patched the game.

Update 46 changed it from green to white.

Same thing, I believe. It appears there was a change with the latest update on PC, but it may not be affecting previously obtained items. There's a whole thread about it.

It's still green sometimes. I see it green on the bottom right corner. But I see it's probably a new bug.

Oh I see... It's just another thing messed up like all the horrible changes they've been forcing in the UI lately. So sad.

I really miss last year UI.

ZOS altered it in the Loot Window and Inventory as the green was too much, but they failed to do it in the Loot Display
