Red Latency

Since patch my latency is showing red at 300+ but it doesn't seem to affected my play. Did something change? I checked it on my other computer and the latency is still red in 300 range but again no difference in play lag.

The latency number means nothing, it has always been misleading. A while ago people speculated that it was an average across multiple minutes and chose the lowest value. There used to be times where cyrodil lag would still show 70 ping even though things were just stuttering constantly.I only use insightful
BG MMR should NOT reset, zos sponsored smurfing is a terrible design choice.
PvP needs more incentives, even simple purple/gold mats would suffice.1 -

Tyvm. I am 75 and ignorant about computers. I freak when I see red things when they are usually white.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭I have noticed this too since the latest update. In my case it is very impactful as actions sometimes take a while to go through or don’t at all, rubberbanding, and frequent disconnects. It happens both in crowded towns and in base game overland areas where I can see no players beside myself.0 -

It seems to be Akamai, which is a service ZOS employs to protect against DDOS, but so far I can't get anyone to address it. No devs have replied at all. It's made my ping bounce between a normal 270, and 10k... so I can't really play anymore.Edited by Ashjunkie on August 25, 2025 7:36AM0
