Inspired by ESO_Nightingale's great concept for a
Frost DPS mythic, I thought I'd share an idea for improving Frost DPS as well. It's focused on the Destruction Staff skill line, though. I wrote a
similar post on the PTS forums about a year ago, but I have expended the idea a bit here.
The core idea is to give Ice Staves abilities different effects based on a character's Max Health, similar to the Warden’s previous Piercing Cold passive. With more than a certain amount of Max Health, they’d work as they do now. With less Max Health, they’d instead gain a DPS-focused effect. This way, Ice Staves would remain viable for tanking while preventing PvP'ers from benefiting from both the offensive and defensive effects at once.
