PSA: Mammoth Mount 4K, Snow Bear Style 1.8K in store! 5-12/08/25 - praise marketing team

I was really surprised by these prices! I was expecting 5K for the mount and 2.5K for the skill style...
Being cheaper than expected, I decided to purchase the Giantkin Outfit Style too, which I had planned to skip.
So I have spent more than planned and got more than planned while still being happy - a praise to the marketing team for the actual, good prices! win-win

And by the way: All these items look really good!
The bear is easily a 10/10 (and it hasn't red glowing eyes luckily)
The mammoth is a 9.5/10 (just because I don't like much the skulls for the stamina update)
The outfit looks good hiding the head and shoulder pieces IMO, 8/10

Edit: Please set a good price for Hiddenspring Cottage upcoming house and it will be my next insta-purchase :)

THANK YOU! <3

On sale (which is happening these days) 4.000 crowns are equal to 14 euros if you buy the biggest bundle.

    ESO Plus gives "free" crowns.

You can buy crowns for gold from players.

Hardly anyone would end up spending 40 dollars for 4.000 crowns - be honest.

I think a lot of people do. I think the number of people that do likely outweighs the number swapping coins. Although ESO+ crowns are probably also common ways it is purchased.

Regardless of how one gets the crowns though. They set the price at 40 dollars.

No worries, I was just trying to calibrate myself. The prices are crazy across the entire industry and we are getting so used to it. But inside this universe, I agree, the price seems almost reasonable.

Fair enough lol. I got happy because I got funding from PS Stars ending in my wallet (PlayStation users only who signed up for it before it ended) and points I had totally forgot about accumulated. So, I got some 5 dollar PlayStation store gift cards, a crown sale, and cool stuff in the crown store happening right now. 😀

No problem, I agree, and some prices in ESO feel badly set, but after I tried gacha games prices like these feel like godsend in comparison. I wanted to show appreciation for the choice of the team on these items :)

We've been asking for more bear 'skins' since forever and the mammoth is a charming mount without any of the garish visuals/sounds that can be bothersome to some fellow players.

Gonna park the soapbox over there and as @SkaiFaith put it 'Let a man be happy.'

I give money to a man that booked an entire city to host his wedding so I have no moral high ground to stand on anyway.

I always love seeing more wonderful, aesthetically grounded mounts. I just got the two seater elk recently so I'll pass on the mammoth for now, but I'm really enjoying seeing all the players using it.

And the white bear skill style is an excellent new one as well.

Also with the current Crowns sale price it was an insta-buy for this one, on both servers.

As much as I like the mammoth mount and snow bear skin and applaud the devs who created these, I’m a little bit baffled by a thread thanking ZOS for selling a mount for a higher price than a chapter and a combat pet skin that’s just 200 crowns shy of the price of a smaller DLC.

It's a way to encourage ZOS to make more player-requested features a reality. People have wanted things like these for a very long time, and they've finally happened.

See, I'm at the point that I want them to divorce fur color from morph style. If we're trying to say "oh, in PvP you need to know if it's Pack Leader or not!" well, just see if it has pets following it.

Being able to have a black Pack Leader, or a brown Berserker would be a really good way to help with customization.
(And yes, my werebear is supposed to be a russet like the OG Warden bear. His BFF is just the white one)

It's obvious which morph of the ability this is. There should be no problem telling this apart from the other two versions of the ability.

Then I'd like to have some other variations like a "Werewolf Transformation, Whiterun Guard" Skill Style to add tattered clothing in the style of a Whiterun Guard, with a "Whiterun Guard" Costume for use in the human form. You couldn't combine it with the other Skill Styles though, so you don't get to choose your fur color and then what clothing your werewolf form has, so maybe a more robust system than Skill Styling should be implemented.

As for other werebeasts, there should be several variations with different alterations. For instance, "Werewolf Transformation, Brown Werebear" makes all morphs into a brown werebear, and "Werewolf Transformation, Snow Werebear" makes all morphs into a white werebear not too dissimilar from the new Feral Guardian Skill Style.

Yeah, it would be really great if we could choose our own colors. Werewolf has so little customization, and in a game as RP-heavy as ESO, the lack of customization is definitely a hindrance to a lot of peoples' enjoyment of it.
(well, that and their complete lack of power, but you know...)

I know that "monetization" is a dirty word, especially in this economy, but I'd completely be okay with premium werewolf variants (like a brown werebear, pls) to come through the store. However, I do think the base three werewolf colors should be given freely since we do technically already have access to those depending on which morph we choose (or lack thereof).

Also I hate the idea of needing to keep a skill unmorphed just to make a character look... closer to what they should look like. Like I said, my dude is supposed to be a brown werebear... but all I can do with him is the unmorphed werewolf since he definitely is neither black nor white, so the base color is the best I can do (and while it may not be the cold grey of NPC wolves, it's definitely still closer to grey than a rich brown).

I'd pay a lot of money for Werewolf cosmetics. I genuinely would — I paid quite a lot for a furnished Hunter's Glade because it pauses your Werewolf timer while inside it.

That's what I've been saving up Crowns and Seals of Endeavor for. Nearly everything in the Crown Store is a miss for me because it's something Werewolf can't use.

It's great seeing everyone else (non-werewolves) get all these fancy cosmetics, but there's been nothing for me to spend money on.

The fact that people seem to unironicle think these are fine prices in times of inflation and crisises and are publicly encouraging zos for the price scaling, makes me look forward for the next coming overpriced items.

Back in the days a GAME costed 40 dollar, now people are willed to pay that for a cosmetic.

I don't think that's true at all. at least since the early 90's. 60 dollars was the standard for most games.

I do think the prices are a little high. but if inflation and crisis are destroying you financially, don't buy a overpriced cosmetics. you don't need it.
