Suggestion: private servers?

How should those private servers be monitored to make sure players are not cheating/botting/exploiting whatever.

I'm not sure they would need to be monitored. If it's private anything they can do won't hurt anyone else. It's more like a single player game version if I am reading the request correctly.

If private servers are done via ESO and purchased, I feel like they would need some sort of moderation.

Not too sure how bots are on ESO, personally not seen a farm or any of them what I know of - But would a private server with no moderation not just allow them to further develop their scripts & bots on the private server, experimenting with some wild methods which would normally get them banned on the main game.. Could end up with even worse and more widespread scripts.

As for OP mentioning harvesting - Do people really enjoy harvesting that much that they only do it for enjoyment and not sell/use what they have collected afterwards? I feel it'd be such a low low, like 1-10 people, who would spend more money to have their own server just to harvest plants and stuff all by themselves, making absolutely nothing from it.

Is it not just better to purchase a gardening simulator and go pickup weeds?

There's some games I absolutely love private servers of(Not so legal though).. WoW & Runescape private servers are my go-to, I'm able to experience the game at a way faster rate (Being able to complete everything in a couple months instead of multiple years of grinding). I can't really see anything inside of ESO where I would want to experience what I can't already. ESO has a very easy entry level for all content, where anyone is able to take part and succeed/be carried through it.

Is the PTS not always online? I'm sure players can just go play this and have very little interaction with other people if that's the main goal of an eso private server.

I don't think farming telvar in IC without the risk of fighting other players, or taking keeps/repairing keeps on an empty Cyro would very much be according to design

Hell no PTS aint always online most of us Addon Creators know that all too well especially those of us that drive semi and try to do stuff on patch days they take it offline around 16-20 hours.

    Greetings,

We have gone ahead and closed this thread down since it is rather old. Please keep in mind that sometimes it is better to create a new topic, instead of replying in one that was posted a while ago.

    Thank you for your understanding.
