Allow Guilds to switch the Alliance too.

Im leader of a pvp guild and we all switched alliance. Our Guild was created 5 years ago on the alliance we were playing on and now we switched.
We paid money for the switches, transfered multiple chars per player.

Now our tabard is in a ugly semi white colour , wich ruins every outfit and we cant claim keeps anymore.
There was no warning or disclaimer about that either.

So i requested to zos, asking them to let the guilds alliance switch.
They can change guild names, so i was sure it wouldnt be a issue to do the Guild Alliance change either.

Thats what i got as response :

I get if you say you just cant do it - then it would be something i would be interested to get implemented as a nice feature, for the future.

BUT just being like "alliance choice matters'' while youre selling 30 Alliance change tokens to us, so we can use that paid mechanic to switch to the alliance and then being like but your guild functins are now not aviable anymore , is just bad. We feel lowkey punished by zos for switching our guild.

Like okay ? We made our Alliance Choice, the WHOLE guild switched together, you just made a lot of money with this, maybe just show some goodwill and help us with our request?

If we would want we could close the old guild and reopen it on the new alliance.
Then we loose the creation date, wich was 5 years ago ( a really long time for a pvp guild) + our guild bank stuff, unless we transfer it, our rank system, our guild notes.
Its not worth the effort.

But a Guild alliance swap should be possible imo, specially if youre OFFERING an Alliance change token.

Unfortunately you'll have to create a second guild to claim with. Ironically it used to be better - the tabard would be in the 'base colour' of your tabard instead of just the white colour. Then ZOS changed it to only be white.

It would be nice as a feature but tbh I'd rather they dedicated any resources spent implementing this to actually doing some work in improving Cyro.

What a terrible change. Its not even a propper white, it just looks dirty somehow haha.
The people who hate on alliance changers will claim we got what we deserved, with that dirt looking tabard.

I 100% agree as I have this same problem. I can't just disband and create a new guild because my guild has been around for 6 years now. I've recently swapped factions and I'd love to be able to claim keeps with my guild, but was given the same response.

Honestly I'd even consider paying to swap my guild faction at this point.

Nah I fully support Guilds being faction locked, imagine if all the biggest pvp guilds decided to jump ship to all be on the same alliance....

People swap regardless? Costumes can hide the tabards and you can do like a second guild like „Guildname DC/AD/EP“ whatever.

    You can dodge it.

But i think it should be a thing, its a QoL change wich should be implemented, as ZOS are selling Alliance Change tokens and encourag the mechanic.

They do except they just use a faction change token. This is basically just a cosmetic to move the guild itself over as well.

Tbh i'd support not being able to claim resources but just make the tabard show up correctly like it does in PVE.

It would be nice if guilds could change alliance once per year, or something.

For example, the guild I'm part of is listed as alliance all my characters are in, but all guild PvP events are for different alliance. To be fair, it is trading guild, didn't join it to PvP (which I seldomly do except when there is event anyway), but can imagine the PvP inclained guild members would be happy to switch.

I'm honestly surprised this isn't an option already.

I realise they want to promote the idea of faction loyalty, but it seems a bit meaningless to restrict it at the guild level if everyone in the guild can switch alliances. Also because players can have multiple characters and multiple guilds, so 'one guild' could already be in all 3 alliances.

just created another guild. its not that hard

what they DO need to do, is remove that "5" guild limit... thats just a silly thing to have in place.

Weird that you got told alliance choice should be made carefully when ZOS literally sells alliance change tokens. Also, we can also just make guilds in alternate factions to take keeps anyway, so that reason doesn't make sense.

some of us have long-time existing guilds that we can't (or don't want to) simply recreate.

Join another alliance? I think that that is the topic being discussed and it does not seem possible at present for a Guild Master to move their guild another alliance as yet.
