Maintenance on last event day

3 tickets are missing for me, a pity. Given the amount of maintenance hours during the event (June 30 - enable Vengeance, July 8 - disable Vengeance), it would be fair to extend the next event for 1 day. Or to extend the event next after that, if ZOS already have next dates set in stone.

Kinda funny how this feels like a free-to-play game, even after paying for everything. Definitely a sign of internal issues and I’m really glad Im stepping away a bit

@ZOS_Kevin - is there going to be the event extension or are last day's tickets and gold boxes gonna be in the mail?

With the maintenance July 8, 4:00AM EDT (8:00 UTC) - 10:00AM EDT (14:00 UTC), the last day of the event, which is July 8, 6:00AM EDT (10:00 UTC) - 10:00AM EDT (14:00 UTC) becomes completely unavailable. Even if the maintenance ends earlier, no one can reliably plan for that.

This is a little beyond ridiculous given that this same problem has happened before, had to be dealt with before, and should have never happened before with *PLANNED* maintenances.

No extension is planned. We have made note of this update and how it impacted players during the event for the team to consider next time around.

What's happened with that feedback before though? That's the issue here. This has happened quite a few times before, and it doesn't seem like it's being considered.

You have one team planning events, communicating the rewards, and then players diving in. You have another team greatly impacting all that. Would really appreciate better coordination so we can all make the most of these events.

yep. they have been given this feedback before. and now it's worse.

    Exactly.

Oh by the way, for anyone interested, I just happen to be selling Dragon Bridge in southern Haafingar. If we can get the deal done quick I can give you a significant discount in Crowns. ;)

Kevin, that's exactly the problem -- this has happened before, notes were made, feedback was taken, but from how it sounds, is considered a norm and is gonna happen again... And again... And again...

You know what would be a really easy solution for this?

For the next week, sell a bundle of 3 Event tickets in the Crown Store for "FREE" (limit 1 per customer, this system already exists). Or do this at the start of the next ticket event.

Stating that 39 tickets would be available and then yanking 3 of them in the final days is the point where I think a make-good would be the savvy thing to do, in the interest of customer service and appreciation. "Hey all, we promised you 39 tickets and we messed up. So go grab the 3 you missed, on us!".

It's a missed opportunity to generate good will.

I say this as someone who rarely participates with the event tickets and found nothing of interest to pursue for myself this round.

Very disappointed they decided to not extend the event one day.

Or make a 'gift' of 3 free tickets in the Crown store.

Next time ZoS, how about advertising your event for say, (using this one as an example) 36 tickets.. and if the last day is actually attainable for some in that little 4 hour window then they get 3 bonus ones.

Don't advertise something you are not going to deliver, or even give us the opportunity to log in and collect. That is just plain wrong and misleading. Doesn't do you any credit at all sadly.

I was hoping the maintenance might end early and give players who really needed or wanted them a chance to earn 3 more tickets and 1 more golden coffer.

But I didn't bother checking-- was asleep, TBH-- because I had already decided to sit the last day out on PCEU and not worry about the last day on PCNA. I ended the event on the penultimate day with everything I needed or wanted, and didn't want to stress about whether or not I'd be able to get 1 more day out of it on PCNA.

But I'm happy for players who were able to log in after maintenance ended and get 1 more day of event rewards. :+1:

It seems overlooked because the only way to prevent it (across timezones) would be to only do maintenance completely outside of event windows. I think those extra few hours are bonus tickets, not tickets that are being taken away from people that anyone is entitled to.

And since reset is at 6AM ET and the event ends at 10AM ET, there would only be 4 hours until the event ends anyway. Most people aren't even available in the four-hour window, so for anyone who is, if maintenance ends early and they get a few tickets, that's lucky for them.

maintenance ended at 3am for Australians (and is usually in our peak hour for playing in any case). So... yeah.

The maintenance ended (early) at 11.20 pm for most Australians and the event finished at midnight. Not denying we have it tough with the maintenance schedule - and I'm very tired in work today  - but 3am is not correct.

You are forgetting that Australia has the most messed up time zones on the Earth. Not only it has fractional ones, it at times has one time zone ahead of the other one that's to the east of it.

In which Australian time zone is 10am EDT 3am then? Most Australians live in the AEST timezone, which would make it midnight. In WA it would be 10pm. Where I live in between the two it is 11.30pm. Even on Lord Howe Island it would only be half-past midnight...

How about changing the ending times for these events to later in the day so that maintenance is over and west coast US does not miss out on tickets every single event?
