Venerable Nine Divines, I had an epiphany! I finally understand your Grand Plan!
...to be quite honest, while I was in high VR zones I thought that all the talk about bots was, well, not unfounded, but ... lets say, I thought people were having tantrums for the tantrum sake, ungrateful and blind to the wisdom of Nine.
My apologies, I failed to read the will of Nine Divines properly.
See, I realized that You have a plan for us mortals, and now, I have seen the light.
quick notes:
I keep my game computer right next to my work computer, so I am logged in quite a lot (~16 hours). I usually can not play more than 3-4 hours at the time, but still I see the stuff happening around me.
My journey begun when I calculated that I was day and a half away from hitting VR10 and decided to level up my crafter char.
Having 50 in all the crafting skills and being level 8 is not a good way to ACTUALLY craft stuff, lol. So I decided to the the quick 1-50 grind on mobs, then do the quests so I can park my crafter in high VR zones and leave it be.
These are the summed up impressions from 3 game days of grinding....
My name is Master Crafter, I was born to... well, craft. Many think and see me as a Sorcerer, but I am just an lowly artisan in my heart.
I always had a knack for it, some would even say, in the language I do not fully understand, that my skill trees for crafting were at 50 before I was even 8 years old.
See, I have an uncle that has traveled the world and seen all kind of cr**.
He is an loving uncle, so he sent me numerous, almost countless toys from all the parts of the world...
...and me being the brat that I am, I destroyed them in childish rage because I felt neglected.
-
As a side effect, I become quite proficient in making stuff as well, and I decided to fulfill my destiny and learn everything there is about crafting .... so I picked my stuff and started adventuring.
Once I realized that the quickest way to learn in life is to kill others and... well, there is not "and" part; quickest way to learn in this world IS to kill stuff; I asked around and found what were the best places across the world to do so.
-
My life circle started with zombies near Camlorn, they were plentiful and full of wisdom and within 30 minutes I aged 4 years, and seen a lot of people absorbing wisdom, but few... were absorbing too much, becoming zombie like themselves, going in same predictable patterns and "walking" with jitters and ignoring the bounds of reality moving through very fabric of our world.
-
I heard that Priests of Nine call that fabric something silly like, textures or textile or something like that, but in any case, even the reality itself is made from a clothing material.
-
Then I realized, the plague is spreading, I will become a zombie too, if I stay!
Annoyed(and scared for my life), I moved on to people and found a gang called Red Rooks to harass.
They had some strange code of ethics, and as long as I did not talk to some lady,
they did not mind killing them over and over again, they even watched in joy while I killed their buddies, glowing yellow all the time, almost as if they were saying: "Keep it up, buddy!"
-
Anyways, I reached 20 years of age in no time and moved on to the province of Stormhaven, where our king lives.
I found a bunch of ogres and bears, and started learning about life facts from them.
But, soon, I was joined by the same group of strange fellows from before, and I was in awe, their coordination was perfect, although a bit repetitive, and the speed they moved through the very fabric of our world was amazing.
I tried many writing down their names in Elder Scrolls and sending them to the Divines, but finally with the assistance of something called an addon, I managed to do so.
-
Forgive me for this transgression, Mighty Divines, I was young and foolish then, I did not see your will clearly!
-
I was worried that zombie infestation is going out of hand, so I was feeling pretty smug when I set out for Northpoint beaches in Rivenspire, the place where you finally revealed your wisdom to me, oh, Zenim... I mean, oh, Mighty Divines.
-
See there I learned the following about the life:
When we want to hang out with someone, we must be in a group with the same life occupation.
No respectable sorc would allow himself to be in a group with some pious templar, after all.
Also, we must follow each other footsteps in perfect harmony, or suffer the wrath of the Divines.
-
There, I felt ashamed.
See, I thought the zombies are mindless, stupid things, but in reality they are the favorites of the Divines.
-
I watched in awe, for hours over 2 days, while some strange numbers and words were filling my head (had a lot of work irl), how 6 separate packs of 4 zombies, consisting solely of DKs, Sorcs and Templars (...even zombies hate NightBlades) are moving in perfect unison, almost without a pattern, yet in the same line, and with occasional teleporting, casting spells and taking out those guards over and over again.
I called out in anguish, numerous times for the avatars of the Divines, those mythical beings called GMs, but sadly, like all superstitions, they do not exist.
(I was full of hope when I randomly saw those "15 minutes" graphiti all over Tamriel, but those were just some kids pulling the prank on us, defacing the facades of castles without any reason other than "just for lulz")
Not to be outdone, I saw the pattern in the their movement, and decided to take advantage of that and I aged from 20 to 32 years of age in matter of mere 2 hours, nibbling away precious life experience from each group of zombies.
I was feeling smug again, until, I saw the wisdom, until I saw the light...
Oh, mighty Zenim..., I mean Divines, you thought me how to move in pattern, how to live with and care for zombies, you thought me how a bad situation makes grind through life easier.
You made my crafting life a delightful treat of going in patterns, killing stuff, in same line over and over again.
I have indeed seen the wisdom of your ways and become a zombie like myself.
Circle of life is almost complete, soon, I will return to the place I belong, the place I started the journey, Camlorn, and join my zombie brethren there in ignorant bliss.
All praise Nine Divines and their infinite wisdom.
