Would you be interested in a pop-up provisioning station memento?

Doing some master provisioning writs and I thought it'd be a cool idea if we learned to make a campfire of sorts via some questline and got it as a memento that we could use every 15min for instance. Would y'all be interested?

We light campfires for people all over Tamriel; we should be able to light one for ourselves, too. :)

Honestly, I would love something like this for all seven crafting stations! My crafter carries all seven general crafting stations in his inventory at all times for crafting house furnishings, so he’s ready to craft something on a whim no matter what house he is in. Some of my houses are set up with crafting areas, but some aren’t, so that makes it handy.

Just don't let other players be able to use your portable crafting station — otherwise you could block doors with them.

    But why?

Keep in mind everything added to the game has a cost:

    - management bandwidth. the decision-makers can only process so many ideas and there is a limited pipeline to feed them.
    - the work-hours by zos staff to implement; not just the asset, but the design, thumbnail, etc. Plus the idea has to be vetted to ensure it can't be exploited in any way either intentionally or unintentionally. for example, will players want to light 100 camp fires to meme? what happens if they do?
    - testing
    - added complexity to the game. the more moving parts, the more likely something is to break
    - even though it may be tiny, it's adding more processing and network activity for the servers. it all adds up

For what what? To RP or the rare time one runs out of the food/drink they want while in an inopportune location?

Would this memento actually place a crafting station in the world and be usable? There are already crafting stations in multiple towns and players can place them in their houses. Is there really a need to randomly craft in the middle of nowhere?

I wouldn't want any sort of thing that places an object in the world like that as it would obviously people would abuse it to worsen others experience

Maybe crafting assistants would work tho, personal chef incoming to the crown store

I would certainly like a personal chef assistant rather than a campfire memento.

There are plenty of cooking fires about in the world, even outside of cities and crafting areas.

A memento wouldn't be functional, just visual, so no, I see no need for something like that.

But a Provisioning Assistant, who could function like the other Assistants in their perspective tasks, maybe.

That's part of the services I would like to have portable (additional to existing bankers):
      - Cooking fire
      - Trader

Those are out of the few things that would make me invest in crown store (like also a token to level up straight from 0 to 50/160). o:)

Yes, I've always thought it'd be good to have a provisioning assistant to be able to make buff food without having to return home, a memento would be even better, as long as only you and groupmates see it.

I think there's already an emote or something like that, although I'm not sure if everyone has it or whether it was something from a Crown crate. I just know that during the big Shadowfen fresh water nodes and water plants war a few years back, when everyone was fighting each other to get the lead for part of some then-new mythic antiquity (remember that? such fun!), one of the players who was at a water plant spawning location with me used an emote to build a campfire and lounge beside it.

What I'd actually like to see is a Provisioning assistant who can prepare food and drink and clean fish for us while we're out in the wilds. When I made that suggestion in the forums back when the ability to clean fish en masse was added to the game, people told me it isn't necessary because there are so many cooking fires all over the place out in the wilds, even occasionally in some delves, public dungeons, or group dungeons. But I still think it would be a useful addition to the game.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

Do players really run out of food that often? Food buffs last well over 2 hours so we don't have to eat all that often. Just check food supplies and restock if needed before heading out to adventure.

There's already a campfire memento in the game. It was the first group memento and people in the same group as you can use it. Nobody abuses it.

You'd need a provisioning assistant for it to function as an actual station.

There already are plenty of functional fireplaces for provisioning even outside of towns.

I‘d rather have an alchemy assistant for when I‘m running out of potions mid-activity.

      Why not both?
You're not always close to a town or one of the sparse "wilderness" cook fires when you need one.
