Do you think ESO is heading into (or already in) maintenance mode?
So, with the changes from Chapters to the seasons, recycled assets, shrinking content and subclassing instead of a new class or skill lines; there was a strong case that ESO was going into maintenance mode. The argument was that ZOS was focussing on their shiny new toy and that they were getting ready to drop ESO like a used diaper the moment the new MMO came online.
And then the bombshell was dropped that ZOS's new MMO has been cancelled and the Matt Frior is moving on.

Yes, ESO is still going into maintenance mode.
No, ESO was never going into maintenance mode.
Not any more: with the cancellation ZOS has to prioritise ESO and make it great again.
