It's been weeks that easy to fix stuff is broken, made tickets, wrote in bug support forum.

Another maintenance and no patch/fix, yet again.

Does this company not do hotfixes? Do we have to wait for content patches to fix things?

Only gamebreaking bugs/exploits will be hotfixed. Everything else will eventually be fixed in a long distant future

Like my issue (just as an example) is a Delve Boss in Auridon not spawning. Making it unclearable for the month and a half I've been playing this game.

This is not a great look for your first zone.

Only thing they ever fix is things that Don't need fixing.
As for the thigs that actually need fixing well look at the infamous cloudrest vanishing bos bug that still exists today.
It even made it's way into Lucent Citadel now as well.

So short answer it doesn't seem like they bother.

Not everything can be fixed without a server restart. They've hotfixed some things in the past. Other things that needed to be addressed immediately needed the servers taken down, so some types of bugs just can't be patched to live.

    This is not WoW...

Fixes, if they come at all, take months to years.

I think they now classify a "hot fix" as something they can fix on the server without taking the server down. They do this from time to time, and I believe they have done it fairly recently.

They also have a type of urgent server side fix that they can do if they take the server down, but that is going to be hours of down time. There is no client patch when they do that.

Other than that, and especially for the client, fixes take a long long time. Weeks.

I mean the server was just down, it was down last week. And they didn't make any fixes. I was expecting hotfixes both times, but I guess they don't do that here.

Neither downtime was for client updates. Last week was for quarterly backend maintenance (no patch notes needed nothing was changed) and today was to turn on the Vengeance campaigns.

There are patches with bug fixes, but they are not always as timely as we'd like. One can see for themselves in https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/categories/patch-notes.

For whatever reason ESO doesn't work this way. And as others have said what may seem like a straightforward issue may not be, especially as ESO seems to be pushing the limits of the underlying engine it was built upon. In order to just "push out some hotfixes" they need first to identify what the fix needs to be, code it, and, indeed, to prioritise it among other issues.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
