Do you think my account demonstrates minimal gaming?
You're focused on one specific meaning (consistency of daily login).
No. I'm focused on the OP logging in every day, even if just for a minute to pick up the daily login reward. It's not the daily login reward that I think is important... it's logging in.
Yes, and no. Given that, for a new player (say, one who has only been playing for 6 months), the daily login would be important for freebies they'd likely need as a newbie, that would be something they'd look at, I imagine. I've been playing since beta, took 2 years off, and have played on an off since, but even when I go 6 months doing nothing at all (not even doing an event), I still grab my daily. never been denied gifting. I grab the daily in GW2 (I play with my adult son but it's not my "main" MMO so when he's not playing I usually don't either) even when I haven't properly played the game for a year.
"Grabbing the daily" would be seen as a human rubric. If someone logs on but doesn't do that, it'd be sus.
ETA: Just saw the end result of the thread. So yeah, the fact this player didn't do this was a red flag, I guess.
It was almost certainly an account they purchased in the black market. Really, there's no almost. It was either stolen or sold.
Some level of humility is required here. We can't expect to know the ins and outs of everything. Fraud is everywhere and cheaters and scammers of course are shameless about lying. The devs aren't giving players a hard time about spending money on Crowns for no reason.
They came to the forums and successfully engaged in a social engineering operation. If you fell for it, learn from it.
