Galens jungles and murkmires swamps?
Just an open field in high isle with a river crossing through?
Hell, I'd take an empty cavern in Blackreach over whatever gigantic player house you got in the making again.

Don't need a large flat open area in them, in fact, I'd prefer it if they looked as natural as possible, but any house that is mostly nature without some house on it would be nice.
Snowy mountain side.
Deep in the middle of a thick forest.
Somewhere in the middle of a desert.
Deep in a swamp.
A cosy glade
etc
I build from scratch regardless of the house on the property. That being said a Remove Structures option in the housing editor would be GREAT. We need more blank properties like Moon Sugar Meadows and Hunters Glades. In fact, I would buy multiples of these properties if that were possible, moon sugar A, moon sugar B etc. TAKE MY MONEY.
Agree more "blanks" would be great. Personally, though, I want more half ruined spaces also that I can build from (with no indoor space at all -- I don't want loading screens in my houses).
The best example I can think of of this is Thieves Oasis, ignoring the two houses themselves. The temple ruins, or whatever they are, make a spectacular frame for doing whatever else you like.
Basically, for what I want to do, I don't think the basic building blocks provided by the game are anywhere near good enough yet to do a house purely from scratch without compromises. You either have small bricks or enormous cross sections in a mishmash of architectural styles that are very hard to fit together while achieving what you want.

It is completely feasable to build houses from scratch, I have built several.
Sometimes it takes a while to put them together but as far as trying to use the same style goes that is entirely possible too.... my Chapel in Doomchar has outer walls entirely in Deadland's style items, the roof too, the only thing that isn't is the gable ends.
Sometimes a mix of styles works too, my "House of Books" at Moonsugar has walls made of book cases which work surprisingly well! 🙂

I remain frustrated over the fact how many slots I have to waste on hiding given structures that don't fit the idea when I solely want to use the natural environment of a house.

Agreed! I would love if we could buy "blank field" versions of houses or remove existing structures. I know devs have said they can't just do this because System Resources, but I still hope for the possibility.
