I enjoyed veteran content quite a bit, but I also did not play any alts far enough in any faction during beta or post release to spoil anything past the beginning islands.

Would I do it again? Probably not. I enjoy being able to experience the game entirely with just one character. I am not one to create multiple alts and invest an equal amount of time into them. If I were forced to play a new char, I'd quit.

The content overall with the exception of the surge in difficulty, is what you would expect. Scaled up monsters in the same zone you could experience in the normal 1-50 range of that faction with a new character. The nice thing about accessing these zones are the skyshards and quest chains for additional skill points.

I was ready to go until veteran. I find the fact that you actually have to somewhat think about what you are doing refreshing in an MMO.

I just don't understand why you keep comparing an MMO to a single player game in the first place. Okay, it is part of the same series but no one ever compares WoW to any Warcraft strategy games either.

I actually meant in Lorewise and economy. I could go further and say more, but I am not going to. I'm good, I found out tonight my fiancé is losing interest some also..And this game isn't a true MMO in my honest opinion, too much stupid solo content a(and I am not speaking about raids) and it grouping is so messed up that you end up almost being solo in a group. If they don't want me to compare it with the single player, they shouldn't of put so much single player instances in it.

VR's are just ESO's version of the end game grind.
Correctly, I prefer it over daily quests :)

I honestly think that the quest´s do indeed change a lot. I am just doing the starter zone of my second Char and its in no way the same to my first.

The whole story and lore is totally different, the NPC´s have a totally different attitude as well.

Sure there was also a dog that lead me to a quest, but I think that's totally ok. It would be silly if a unicorn would give me the quest don't you think?

Besides that, you have many different quest´s. As example, you have to help someone with a task in regards of defending, protecting, finding, persuading.

Then you have discovery quest´s where you need to reveal a plot, find an explanation why someone kills someone else or why an Argonian doesn't like its neighbor...

Maybe ESO isn't so interesting lore wise for someone who is a die hard Elder Scrolls fan, I cant judge this, but to me? I learn and discover new stuff every time I play and at no point did I feel that questing is as dumped down as in other games like Wow where the only thing that changes in a quest is the type of animal that the paw comes from and lore totally doesn't exist.

I laugh a lot while doing quest´s, the combination of story with MMO just works for me ;)
I find that the lore in ESO is far deeper than both Skyrim and Oblivion, playing AD you will learn more about the green pact than you want to know. Crazy Bosmers.
More fun, going to Reaper march and you see Bosmer attitude changes.

Just started the VR content, but spent a day on the starting nord island
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I think people are forgetting that VR content was introduced when the players wanted to be able to experience all of the alliance content on a single character, otherwise they were not going to have it at all.

Keep that in mind when you complain that they didn't think about it enough. Because they did.
This is exactly what the players asked for.

Money problem? I have over 60k without actually doing anything other than selling armour and weapon items I don't need, doing the quests and nothing more. Of those 60k, I've sold about 2 set armour with 3 armour pieces for around 5k. So why people are having money problem, I don't know. I was low at 5k at VR1 and now I'm VR8. And boy do I die a lot (sorcerer), so my repair is often at around 1k each turn-in.

Though, VR isn't everyone's cup of tea. It's a repetitive grind cycle doing more or less the same. It's not for everyone, that's for sure. I do however like that much better than getting to "max level" just to sit around watching the birds fly by and doing nothing until Craglorn comes out. In that aspects I think that VR serves the purpose of showing other faction's quest lines without the hassle of levelling an alt, as well as giving more content to play with while they get their first content patch out.

Sorry to say it, and thanks for all the hate I will get.
I find ESO very much like most of the MMO's I have played before. Nothing special about the game, not even the graphics. It is an okay game, new, with plenty of bugs, incomplete and at stages boring.

Personally, I do not feel any sense of accomplishment or being a Hero. To me the game is way to much like real life as to be a distraction from real life. All I do is to run against obstacles in various ways. Reward in satisfaction is ZERO.

As I wrote before, the main story is shallow and not inspiring at all. Someone wants to invade someone else...what is that? There is war...so what? Every MMO I ever played (10 by now) has basically the same tale.

ESO is just a clone of everything that has been gone before. There is the small guy, and there is the BIG BAD BOSS, and then there is more of the small guy and there are many more BIG BAD BOSSES. You get hit and fix armor, you get hit more and fix more armor. You collect things and collect more things that in the end are worthless because they out-level rather quickly.

You always try to get better skills and things but never reach the goal because the bar is constantly raised. Level one or Vet level 100...it does not matter at all...it is the same with new skill icons...that is it. Hamster wheel, merry-go-round, what has been shall be and endlessly so.

And NO, this is NOT a negative post at all. I play the game...but I do not expect miracles. Indeed, I expect more of the same and more of the same and more of the same, and so on.... just like in real life at work and at play...more of the same....more of the same with a new package now and then. Eat...sleep..do you know what...do your tasks, rinse and repeat.

To be or not to be, that is the question. No it is not. The question is this: do my actions matter? Does playing ESO improve my personal life, does it add to my satisfaction, or does it not? If it does not then it is better to leave.

Yes I know, this is all very selfish. But that is what games are all about...or is it not?

Craglorn means nothing to me or has anything for me as far as my play style. Raids have never been my thing. I can get raids in WoW, which I also didn't do. I am Veteran 1 about halfway to Veteran 2, and so far it is boring to me with only a few interesting quests since I started the game and the fact I love my hybrid character.

I do however think this game can be awesome. It has potential to be far more than it is.

For me as it is now, it is completely boring and makes no sense on certain things. I do love a variety of quests (I'm talking about the things you do in a quest) and I didn't really mind dailies. I found that being able to help at a high level by grouping some low characters or give them some great gear was fantastic. My alts never went without once I got my character to cap level. I am not a Pvper, but found in WoW I would pvp to protect the lower level areas just for the side I picked. This game feels so wrong when grouping and their phasing or everyone has to do the puzzle solo, bandage the sick, or whatever.

I do understand and am glad that some just think this game is the crème of the crop. I find more opinions interesting to read here, but even when I attempt to look at the why you enjoy it, I just don't get the same thing. I am not sure I will be here come fall with one MMO's expansion coming out that though I HATE the community, I love the rhyme and reason of the quests, the rewards for leveling, the different styles of quests, and being able to actually group with someone and it work. Oh, and being able to support 4 or 5 alts if I choose.

Again thank you for telling me why you like or dislike the veteran levels.
