2025 Content Pass Standard Edition "Not Currently Available" on Xbox

But I can pony up for the premium version! I had to hold off buying the season pass for financial reasons. Now that I want to, I want the standard version. It shows "CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE" in the Microsoft store. When will this be fixed?

It could be connected to the Xbox live outage that is currently ongoing, rather than being related to zos.

At the risk of coming across as condescending, are you sure you didn't already purchase the Content Pass earlier this year? If you are sure you don't already own it, would you mind either supplying a screenshot of what you're seeing or let us know the page/site/etc. you are attempting to purchase it on? Thank you!

A friend was also having an issue purchasing the Content Pass on Xbox. Saying that it was unavailable.

I did ask them. They said in-game links weren't directing them to the download, and searching "Content Pass" via the Xbox Store search wasn't either.

I already own it and searching by keyword works for me, so it may just be a store issue at the moment.

Have they checked parental settings. I know it’s a long stretch, but it seems odd that they would not be able to buy the add on (unless it’s widespread for everyone), so I wonder if it’s due to some parental restriction with the age restriction in some way.

I’d suggest having them search for the pass on Xbox.com not signed in. And if they see it available.. click buy and then follow the sign on and see what happens.

I did confirm it’s available on the browser. I know sometimes certain “versions” of the same game will be on the Xbox store and maybe it’s just tied to one that was replaced by a different one.

I’d give the online purchase a shot. Just make sure when logged in.. it’s your gaming “live” account and not a school account or something… that’s happened to me before.

Ok, if you go to view it via pc and then view "in store" it gives you the option to chose standard vs premium. I am on Windows 11 using tthe Chrome browser.

Hopefully that’s a good work-around for now. I bet it’s just the system switching a back-end “version” of the pass over to the “released version” or something to that effect. I have always found it strange that some games or addons have multiple “copies” per se. that’s the only time I’ve seen it say “unavailable” (when they have a newer version for sale that’s essentially the same game just different back-end)

Same issue playing from Australia. If you try and upgrade on the login screen it just says its not currently available.

So yeah, I'm having the exact same issue as the people above. Upgrading from inside the game leads me to a screen saying its not available.

Solved. If you scroll quite a bit further down to Other Editions, you can find a version that is purchaseable. First screen saying not available is going to throw a lot of people though.

For anyone running into this issue, it is now resolved and you should now have the option to purchase Content Pass from the Xbox store. Please let us know if you are seeing otherwise, though.
