ESO Console Add-ons – Developer Uploader Tool

In preparation for add-on support coming to ESO on consoles shortly after the launch of Update 46 in June, we would like to invite all console add-on developers to begin uploading your add-ons to our new uploader tool, located here. This tool will provide information on how add-on publishing works. If you are looking for information on how to write an add-on for ESO, what’s in the API, what libraries exist, etc., we encourage you check out the resources at https://www.esoui.com/forums/index.php or https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/categories/add-ons-and-ui-mods

A few additional notes:

The week of June 23, shortly after the Update 46 console launch on June 18, players will be able to download add-ons from within the in-game UI on next-gen consoles (Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5). This feature will not be available on last-gen consoles, nor on PC/Mac. (No downtime or game reload will be required.)
The ESO team cannot assist with add-on related issues that players run into. It is up to add-on developers to fix any issues with their add-ons. We do not moderate, review, approve, QA, or guarantee ESO add-ons in any way. If an add-on is vulgar, offensive, or otherwise violates our Terms of Service, we encourage players to report them from within the game. (You may view our add-on EULA here.)
Lastly, please be aware that add-ons for ESO are UI add-ons only. They are not like add-ons for some single-player games where you may change your character models or build/modify zones, quests, weapons, etc.

What about cloud gaming like Geforce Now?
This is, strictly speaking, PC gaming via steam or epic launcher, but you cannot store add-ons on the cloud server.

I was wondering that, myself. I do play my XBox account via streaming and am wondering if addons will be available there, too. I guess if that information is not available, it will be discoverable once they roll out on consoles.

I've been begging for a Vertical Camera Position slider for years.

I'm no programmer, but the Console version is just a port of the PC ver. They're the same game just with different UI. Hopefully it's only a case of "some things weren't ticked active when porting".

I mean like I said, only real difference is the User Interface. The setting probably IS there, but the Console UI doesn't provide an interactable slider for it.

Hi all! Just as a reminder, console add-ons will not be available until the week of June 23. We note this in the patch notes this week for console launch, but wanted to update this post as well. We will update this thread next week when console add-on support goes live. All relevant info for add-on launch is listed above in my first message. Thank you!

I've noticed that the release of add-on support has gone from June 23rd to "the week of June 23rd."

Since it is now June 23rd, is there an estimated date of this week when add-ons for consoles will be activated? (I am sure that there are more people than just me that would like to know.)

Addon is Live Now, Go into Options , then Addons are at the Bottom.
DO NOT enable ALL of them at once ! Also, Similar ones doing the Same thing will cause a UI Error that can ONLY be Fixed by removing / Disabling them and reloading UI !

Question : Why are the "Everyone Uses this Addon" Features just NOT put into the Game instead of being an addon ?!
Some Functions just seem like they're too Important to the Game & should have been IN the Base Game.

BTW: I own an Xbox One X, and the add-ons don't work there.

HOWEVER

If you do cloud play on the computer, they DO work THERE!

Personal Dps Tracker by Shienar doesn't seem to work at all. I re-installed it a few minutes ago, since the website says it was updated an hour ago. It simply doesn't appear on the screen at all.

I have it enabled.
I'm aware most bugs should be reported on ESOUI. I can't find the plug-in there, or the author.

Has anyone else had luck with this?

I have seen addons that are "Installed" but do not appear in the Manage Addons page or in the game. I also note that Addons cannot be managed until a character is loaded.

If you look in the very top left corner, you should see some text. You can configure the size and location of it.

Are you on PS or XBox? I do not see those numbers on playstation.

@Elsonso Installed and Enabled. I have other add-ons working just fine.

For those that were having issues with Minimap earlier it was just updated today and it fixed the map for me. Re-install it.

How on earth do I "like" certain console mods listed on the eso website? Theres "Like" icons but no way for me to add my "like" that I can find.

There doesn't seem to be any way to "like" or report issues with a console addon currently.

You need to restart the game after installing an Addon for it to appear in your managed list.

You can also load a character, or have a character loaded and refresh the UI, for new addons to appear in the Managed list.

I would like to see an option to set an addon to "unlisted" or "private" when publishing on the mod website.
We are now seeing some of those "test" addons appearing in the public list. And people blindly install them.
I would like to have an opportunity to publish an addon, but without showing it in the public list yet.
This should be easy with the account linking mechanism, you could just allow the download for the
linked accounts.
However I would also like to ask some friends to do beta testing on their console. So I should
be able to give them a link or a secret to get them access my addon, without everybody else seeing
it in the download list.
I hope this is not too much to ask. If it's too much, please at least consider moving the "beta" category
to a separate tab and not include it in "all categories".

Is anyone working on an add-on to disable the environmental stability feature? It really is annoying. Especially with the upgraded graphics on the PS5 Pro, which they added with this latest patch. The feature now makes even less sense to exist.

I don't think this can be done through an addon. Unless, that is, I am thinking about something else.

@ZOS_Kevin Just wanted to report that new add-ons aren't showing up in the Add-on Browser on PS5.

I was looking for the addon AKsAttributeBars which was uploaded a few days ago and had to use the search bar and type in the name to be able to download it.
