Is this by design, vet rank ups....

I didn't get a skill point or an attribute point for ranking to vet 2, seems very odd that your not getting any reward points for that amount of work....

Is that right?

You get the default incease but not the +10 or +15 nor skill point.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Kind of related to this thread, ive heard that no skills level up after you achieve V1? Is this true? If my DStaff is 12 when I go over 50(49?) That means it always will be no matter how much I use one? Or silver shards will forever be at 3.5 if I dont max out before vet? Some clarification on this would be awesome.

Also a ? About VR, do quests that would normally give skill points (saving a town, etc) in non-VR zones, reward VR players with skill points as well?

    That is not true.

But yes, quests award skill points the same way.

However as you get XP slower I think you will get less increase.
Or do you get XP slow or is it just the level up bar who is so high.

I believe skill XP gain is slower at VR levels. But regular XP gain is actually pretty high. It just takes a metric buttload of XP to level up.

How about when you're VR10? Do the skills still level then?

You can still level your skills then, otherwise this would break the game and respeccing would be worthless. You will have your xp bar stuck at 0 (until Craiglorn that is) and any XP you gain will not be counted anymore on that bar, but it will still contribute towards skills that are on your current bar during receiving of said XPs.

You still gain xp in skill lines from killing lvl appropriate mobs.

You can also re-visit dolmens, quests world bosses etc that you missed earlier (I got a couple thousand XP from a lvl 20-ish World Boss when I was Vet10).

There are also a ton of daily quests in Cyrodiil that give 5k Skill line XP each, and can be done fairly rapidly. (Cropsford has around 10 dailies that can be completed in about 10-15mins, as one example)

    As stated, this isn't true.

As for the pace of things I had a primary weapon type at level 50 and a secondary in the low-to-mid 40s at VR1. I am closing in on VR 6 and the original secondary weapon is at 50, plus I have leveled two additional weapons, one to 48 and the other to 43.

Thanks, your point about respeccing was exactly why I was a bit worried about that. You'd need to have every skill you'd ever want to try at max before VR10 otherwise.

Is that true re: the default increase in attributes? I haven't been tracking it up to VR6 but I don't think the base attribute values are going up any as I level through vet ranks.

Regarding skill leveling in vet ranks, I think people are thinking they aren't leveling at all because mobs give such low XP. Basically only quest turn-in and beating world bosses, dolmens, dungeon bosses, etc. gives you XP in vet ranks. I'd recommend being very careful about what active abilities are slotted when you cash in quests. One of my bars always has 2-3 abilities where I am leveling either the overall skill line or the specific active slotted and I make sure that bar is active when I turn in quests.

That said, quest XP seems to only provide a portion of the XP to skills and abilities. Mobs apply all or most of it to abilities active when they die, so leveling skills and abilities is much slower in vet ranks than it was before when you got XP from the mobs.

Life of a Nightblade (Screenshot Tumblr)

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

I have only checked them once VR6 to 7. They did indeed go up by 10 points.

Their support page clearly states that there should be an increase which is relatively up to date.. If it isn't In your case you should probably report it as a bug,

Okay according to that link, Is it the Max Magicka, health, and stamina thats increasing each by 10? Not the attribute bars?

Best way to lvl skills up once you hit VR is pvp but you do get a bit when you turn in quests but pvp still beats questing for skill up xp.

Yes you should get 10S/H/M free per rank. I think you get 20S/H/M free per level since I have 1200 Stamina at rank 7 with only 2 points in stamina and no stamina enchants and level 1 gets 100.
