Please give us Magicka Blastbones Back

It's been long enough. I hate losing the magicka morph. I get stam checked in pvp because of all the crowd control and trying to cast this stamina blastbones. Not only has Grave Lord's Sacrifice never once made onto either of my two Necro character's skill bars, but because of GLS changes have been made to beam skills so that GLS can't buff them. Instead of getting rid of GLS (the problem), beams (which were NOT THE PROBLEM) were changed. My second Necro will no longer enjoy Soul Assault benefiting from the Rapid Rot passive. I struggled to find a good ultimate to use on this character because I was sick and tired of Dawnbreaker and Colossus is extremely hard to make work in PVP. I finally had a decent ultimate to use in Soul Assault. That's been taken away now all because of Grave Lord's Sacrifice buffing the Arcanist beam. Decisions like these are painful to endure as a player. Please abandon GLS, give us magicka blastbones back, and revert the change to Soul Assault!

Below are my past suggestions for the Necromancer class and a video explaining how the changes to beams negatively impact my 2nd Necromancer character.
This is an updated version of my Necro ideas thread from 2023 (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/633137/suggestions-for-necromancer-changes) with adjustments accounting for the Update 43 patch notes.

Death Scythe: (both morphs)
Deals more damage based on the enemy's missing health.
- Hungry Scythe: should also apply life steal to all enemies hit, in addition to healing the caster over time.

Shocking Siphon: The AOE should remain on the ground even if the tether breaks early. (Increase the radius size too)
- Mystic Siphon: the increased Health, Magicka, and Stamina Recovery persists even if the tether breaks early.

Flame Skull:
- Riccochet Skull/Venom Skull:
applies burning/poisoned status effects. (Increase travel speed)

Bone Totem: summons an effigy of bones up to 28 meters away. After 1 second, the totem begins fearing nearby enemies every 2 seconds, causing them to cower in place for 4 seconds. (Changed to allow both morphs to be targeted)

Restoring Tether: the effects persist on the player character even if the tether breaks early.

Grave Grasp:
- Empowering Grasp: Summon three patches of skeletal claws from the ground in front of you dealing 898 frost damage. Enemies in the first area are stunned for 3 seconds, immobilized in the second area for 4 seconds, and snared in the final area by 50% for 5 seconds. Each patch applies Minor Maim to enemies hit for 10 seconds, reducing their damage done by 5%. Each area applies Minor Maim to enemies, Empower to your allies, and enhances the damage and healing of your summons by 1000. Each effect lasts 10 seconds.

- Ghostly Embrace: Summon three patches of skeletal claws from the ground in front of you, dealing 1742 Frost Damage and an additional 1635 Frost Damage over 5 seconds. The initial hit applies the Chilled status effect. The final area creates a corpse if at least one enemy was hit.

Expunge: reduces the cost of all your abilities by 3% while slotted on either bar.

Bitter Harvest: when slotted on either bar, reduces your damage taken by 3%.

Boneyard increase the radius to 8 meters.

PASSIVES:
Corpse Consumption: When you consume a corpse, you generate 10 Ultimate. This effect can occur once every 16 seconds. You also gain Major Savagery and Prophecy for 20 seconds, increasing your Weapon and Spell Critical rating by 2629.

Undead Confederate: While you have a Sacrificial Bones, Skeletal Mage, or Spirit Mender active, your Health, Magicka, and Stamina Recovery is increased by 200. You also gain Major Brutality and Sorcery for 20 seconds, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 20%.

ULTIMATES:
Frozen Colossus: Unleash a decayed Flesh Colossus to pulverize enemies in the area. The Colossus smashes the ground three times over 3 seconds. Dealing damage applies Major Vulnerability to any enemy hit for 12 seconds.
- Glacial Colossus: does frost damage and stuns enemies on the second hit instead of the third.
- Pestilent Colossus: smashes the ground only once and does disease damage. Afflicts enemies with a pestilence that does damage over time.

GLS is a pile of suck, and the sheer fact they have obstinately kept with it just boggles my mind. I actually tried using it with as many DoT's as I could, and it still is the worst feeling skill of all 7 classes.

GLS is a failure of a skill. Sucks to use, sucks to look at. Wish they had, at the absolute minimum, given it a logical animation.

They have to know that they're doing by putting old jabs and now Stalking Blastbones in the subclassing promo images. They know what the players want but refuse to do it. They probably had a good laugh when they posted this like here's your Stalking Blastbones necros enjoy!

It makes little sense and takes more work to go through and change every beam skill than to change 1 skill that is causing the problem. Pride is probably the reason they won't change GLS someone in a high enough position on the combat team must have come up with the idea or they would've scrapped it by now.

100% what you said about hybridization by the end of the year 90% of players in PvP will be running the same 3-5 sets AND the same 3-5 skill lines.
    Grave Robber - Robbed
    Harmony - Shattered
    Stalking Blastbones - Sacrificed
    Corpse Consumers - Buried

Pride is also the same reason why they flat out ignore all requests to revert the flurry and jabs animations. Or U35 in general lol.

I could deal with the Stamina cost.

The green cramping my teal though is horrid. Too jarring.

Big agree, magika blast bones was the more popular morph and NO ONE asked for a rework to it. All we wanted was an AI update so it worked more reliably and no one even wants to play DoT cro we just have to bcs for some reason they get deadly strike for free as a passive. The class needs a full rework but mag blastbones is a good start.

    This is the worst part.

I get wanting to have an alternative playstyle. That's a smart idea.

However, the skill they introduced is boring. It is literally just a % damage buff, with a buggy extra aoe effect on your spammable (that doesn't always work).

Do something more interesting - instead of a boring buff, why not place a strong 10 second DoT on it instead? Why not have the ability summon slightly weaker blastbones automatically ever 5 seconds for 20 seconds? There's a ton of potential options and they opted for the most milquetoast ability they could've drawn up.

And the real kicker? It's getting even more boring next patch, since they're (rightfully) taking away an effect and putting it on the base Skull ability.

While I don't think GLS is a nice skill to use, it seemed like an earnest attempt to address player feedback about how clunky Blastbones can be. I think it's missed the mark so far, but clearly thought was put into it, and players have always had complaints about using Blastbones.

If they made Blighted Blastbones scale in cost with your highest of magicka or stamina like Arcanist skills do, it would be a lot nicer for magicka necromancers and they can continue working on GLS if they really want to.

I wish necromancers were fun and strong. [snip] Now also let’s slap multiclassing instead of making sure necro is fun like that is going to solve any problems.

It’s like they said “here is your class change token” when you told them that necromancers are riddled with issues. [snip]

Feels bad that they used stalking blastbones in the promo yet there's no change on PTS to bring it back or introduce a skill style to make the over-saturated green skeleton go away :'(
