Further update on my false ban - Xbox

I am a substitute poster at the request of the original poster, and I am stating the Reddit post verbatim.

It appears as though my suspicions were correct, and my account was flagged as a bot by the AI for spending too much time farming ore and dust in Hew’s Bane. I’m seriously disheartened, it took 5 days and this is their response, to tell me I’m still banned and that they “thoroughly reviewed” my account. I am going to continue to fight this decision, as my farming was done on an unmodified Xbox controller and I am completely innocent of these accusations. I have almost a thousand hours in the game, hundreds spent on ESO+ and DLC and have been in the same guilds for over 5 years. I’m not a cheater, and frankly I think this whole situation is a spit in the face to the games most loyal player base. I also suggest not farming ore and dust in any large capacity if you don’t want to risk getting banned. Ridiculous.

i know you for a long time i see you in battle and fought you before in Cyrodiil i even watched your twitch livestreams but dont worry you are not the only one my account got banned also for just playing pvp and no email notification i already open ticket contacted eso support you just gonna need to be patient and wait for support team reply
same thing here spend a lot of hours and in crown store back in the day sub for how many years,took a break from the game for more than 5 months not knowing i already got hack im away from home due to work related real life stuff,my account was even hack and steam got hack also ''the thing is that i just recovered my eso account 5/12/25 and got banned after couple days i hope they replied with positive outcome

Interesting. I would not really expect anyone to be running a farming bot in a DLC zone.

In contrast, there are so many in the starter zones that you can hop from head to head and never touch the ground.

Edit: One suggestion for those who come after is to request the "thorough investigation" that exonerates the player. Don't settle for lesser "thorough reviews" that fail to accomplish this goal.

This is not true. If the top post had been edited, it would say it had been edited below the main body of the post. It doesn't, and literally the first sentence of the post is "I am a substitute poster at the request of the original poster, and I am stating the Reddit post verbatim." Users can't add or remove the "Edited by" content; the system automatically applies it when there's an edit. Other posts in this thread have been edited by their posters, so you can see it for yourself, right here on this very page.

In several of your replies here, you seem to have mistaken the original poster for the person who was actually banned.

Edit: edited my post just to join the "Edited by" bandwagon.

It is my fault for writing it in a way that could be misinterpreted. I think the title in particular was misleading.

I was also the one who consulted with the original Reddit poster and suggested that copy and paste would be fine. I learned a lot, thank you very much.

There's a "Format > Quote" option in the toolbar just above the editor window (the paragraph icon with the drop-down menu icon beside it). That probably would have helped. Hopefully you don't need to make a similar post again, though.
