Congrats! After 40+ major patches you've noticed, that the 'game as a service' is not a static thing :)

A game has to evolve to stay successful. But evolve, not completely change.

These aren't the first changes I've not been happy with and spoke out about (AWA for one) but they are the first changes that make ESO not feel like ESO to me any more.

you have to be realistic. Not everyone has endless time to play the game and for most players awa was the only possible way to collect achievements. There is so much stuff to do in eso its not reasonable to expect normal players to do it all on multiple characters.. even 1 is a task! The whole game should be account wide like cp is imo.

unfortunately for ESO there are a lot of player unfriendly systems. Hopefully theyll continue to look into that.

This brings up a very good point. We don't all have the same amount of time to play, or the same likes and dislikes, or the same goals, etc. and all of these factors will affect how we perceive changes.

@SilverBride I hope that when the update hits, it is not as bad as you fear and you can still play ESO in the way you wish!

Over the years there have been many changes which I have dreaded going live and guess what?

They actually ended up not bothering me at all, infact some I barely noticed, when for weeks before these forums had been full of doom and gloom!

I will say however the one that probably bothered me most was AWA, I enjoyed the fact certain things could be earned all over again on a new character. I did find a solution to that as well though, I grabbed a free Epic account and on that account I only do content on one character, she will earn all the achievements she can, I will not play any other chaaracter until she has. Having said that I do have some crafter's, who also act as storage but made sure my main had all the crafting achievements first.

The other great thing about extra accounts, you can alleviate a lot of the early game pain by feeding them extra gold and mats from your main account! 😁
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

Now you know how the PvP community has felt since 2019 and the end game PvE community has felt since U35.

I've known this because they came to the forum and expressed how it affected them. Now something is affecting me so I came to the forum and expressed it. I don't expect anyone else to be affected the way I have or to speak up on my behalf.

That poem is about an extreme social injustice.

The poem's weight—Niemöller's stark warning of complicity through silence—gets diluted when slapped onto every cause. It’s not a catch-all for petty grievances or overblown analogies. [snip] Silence isn't always betrayal; sometimes it’s just not your fight. Reserve the poem for real atrocities, not rhetorical overreach. [snip] Equating game balance patches or server lag to existential threats mocks the poem’s gravity and trivializes actual suffering. It’s a fantasy MMO, not a moral crucible.
