On the heals of "What do 99% of ESO players do", I thought I'd expand on this. Think of "always" as every day for context...post if you feel the need..otherwise, it's interesting to see how differently people play the same game:

Always
  • Daily Normal Random Dungeon
  • Daily Random BG
  • Endeavors

Sometimes
  • Vet Dungeons
  • Trials
  • Questing (usually while waiting for queue)
  • IC (usually while waiting for queue)

Rarely
  • Writs (only in support of Endeavors)
  • Crafting (usually in support of writs above)
  • Arenas
  • IA
  • Cyrodill
  • Vet Trials
  • Pledges

Never
  • Fishing
  • Housing
  • Tales of Tribute (have never done one)

Of course, during an interesting event this list kinda goes out the window and I usually do more event stuff if I can.

For me almost everything you listed is probably under "Rarely" except for.....

    Housing
    Questing
    ToT - Npc's only
    Crafting
    Trading
    Events
    Endeavors

    and never would be....

    Battlegrounds - Never done one
Daily Randoms - Cannot remember doing these either.
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

The only thing I do every day I play is collect the daily reward.

    My cycle is more like:

    - take a break from eso
    - lose skills
    - start playing again, usually via a discord event, enjoy playing with friends
    - find enjoyment in improvement
    - develop a new character or new role
    - get tired of the same problems that always emerge
    - repeat
spending a year dead for tax reasons

    Always:
-Daily writs(atleast 3 chars) ... I have a rule for myself that when I log into a character for anything, I have to do the daily crafting writs with them.
    -Endeavours.
-Events... when active and fun. (Master writs during double exp events)
    -Golden pursuits.... when active.
-Questing... if there is any playtime left for me.

    Sometimes:
-Random daily dungeon(s)... This is actually what I mostly enjoy about the game, but the current state of grouping(fake roles/speedrunners) has me almost never run dungeons anymore.
-Housing. Have two complete crafting/amenities houses, working on third. (two are in housing tours, but don't think anyone has ever visited them yet. PC EU)
-Outfitting. Love dressing my characters in something new! All my characters have atleast two different outfits.

    Rarely:
-IA.... Used to do this every day, but due to the game taking too much of my daily playtime already, I had to cut back on this.
-Surveys. Only when low on a specific material.

    Never:
    -ToT.
    -PvP(unless event).
    -Fishing.
    -Pledges.
    -Trials.

There's so much to do. I wish very much I had more time. I get about 3 hours in the evening.

    Always:
Trials normal and vet. (Learning tanking and healing to be a better teammate)
Dungeons vet and normal (I wanna do HM and tri runs. I'll get there)
Guild stuff. I'm an officer in an amazing guild, so game nights, events.

    Sometimes:
This is where I wish I had more time. I don't play on the weekends due to working all week and wanting to be with my family but I will wake up at 430am so I can do the following or when I'm not doing group stuff.
Questing. Antiquity stuff. Dailies. WB runs. Arenas (come on void bash) All the other things.

Rarely: Cyro. Fun but im trash. BGs.
Horse training. I'm an idiot like that.

Never. ToT. Dude I tried. I really did and I can't wrap my head around it. I'm gonna need a ted talk.

What I do each day depends on what my current fixation is, so I don't necessarily have anything in Always because it changes between what I have in the other catergories.

    Sometimes:
Battlegrounds (More than 1 a day)
    Vet DLC Pledges
    Vet Trials
Daily World Boss Quests (Mostly in zones that have valuable drops)

    Rarely:
Cyrodiil (not good enough to be by myself so it mostly feels like aimless wandering if not following a large group. Events are better)
Imperial City (Only active during events, I spend most of my time here when there is one)
Housing (It can take weeks to build a house, not always in the mood to spend that much time on one)
Quests (Only when the mood hits, but never did anything pass the base game)
Infinite Archive (Only when I want a new set)
Writs (Only during events that give boxes for quests)
Resource Gathering (Worthless since economy crashed)

    Never:
    ToT

    - Events

    Sometimes :

    - Vet DLC Dungeons
    - Infinite Archives
    - Arenas
    - Tales of Tribute (but can easily go down to rarely)
    - Antiquities

    Rarely :

    - Trials
    - Housing
    - Writs (only during events)
    - Fishing

    Never :

    - PvP : Kinda liked it back in 2014 but it didn't last. Now I only go there in events and don't even try to fight back if someone attack me. Maybe if one day we have a campaign similar to Vengeance (but better) I'll give it a second try.

    • Daily crafting quests
    • Resource gathering - not every day, but I'll usually pick up stuff I see
    • Achievement hunting - this pretty much drives what I choose to do when there's no event or GP happening.
    Sometimes
    • Endeavors (when they complete naturally)
    • Questing (when there's new story content. Once I've completed the achievement for a daily quest giver, I don't do their quests again).
    • Pledges - I have two quest givers left to finish for the achievements, but I'm almost done. Then they'll go into the "Rarely" category.
    • Collect lorebooks
    • Surveys
    • Antiquities - chasing leads and digging them up
    • Master writs

    Rarely
    • PvP - basically only for a guild event that will give me an achievement I don't have, or game event. Less than a few times a year
    • Trials - I've done one in my entire ESO life. So not never, but...
    • Vet content - did some for the easier dungeons, but not worth my time
    • Housing - feeble attempts to do something coherent with decorating (I'm in awe of those with skills in this area)
    • Fishing - I have all achievements here, so only if there's something else (like the GP) going on
    • Infinite archive - with no save function, I don't do this one much. Mainly when I'm running low on fortunes. Gotta have some on hand to buy leads.
    • Arenas. I've done Maelstrom a few times. I did Vateshran's once and will never do it again. I've never done DSA. Will probably do it once just to see it. Did Black Rose Prison and don't need to do it again.
    • RND - I might do more once I've finished the pledge achievements. Right now I always queue for a specific dungeon, when I'm doing dungeons.
    • ToT - there has to be a really good reason. Even avoided it during this GP.
    • BG - Haven't done one since the changes. Did a few before.

    Never

Well, some things on the rarely list are so rare that they're pretty much "Never". I've tried all the content types in the game, so nothing's under Never.

But to answer your question seriously: In my case, I don't think ToT can be improved in any way that would appeal to me. The whole game principle of pulling and collecting cards from the "tavern"... I personally find it boring. What would appeal to me in a digital card game would be either some action-/combat-like gameplay like Legends had it, or complex tactics at least, and ToT just isn't a game of that type. And I think that's okay, not everything has to appeal to everyone.

Of course we could discuss now whether ToT was a reasonable addition that appeals to many ESO players or not, but I don't think debating about that makes much sense either at this point. ToT is already in the game, and so it should remain. If people have fun playing it, I'm happy for them.

In my case, it's easier to start with always.

    Always:
    - Wandering in explorable while farming resources.
    - Trading.
    - Daily crafting + master writs.

    Sometimes: Housing

Rarely: Questing/Delves, fishing (when tired), scrying (only when I get a yellow lead).

Never: Whole rest (including dungeons, trials, ToT, ...).

Side note: at earlier times, I was enjoying a lot "treasure hunts" of the type give to the poors, music instruments and such.

Yeah, that would be also something I could imagine. Something simple, maybe some dice game? It should be easily understood and not take longer than a minute to play (or maybe even half a minute). Then I could see people playing one or two fast rounds just for fun or while waiting for someone or something.

With so many decks now, it’s just gotten too complicated for me to devote enough time to be good at it. I enjoyed it when there were only four decks. I want to do other things in the game and I just don’t enjoy it as much as any of the other things so it gets left behind. If I wasn’t doing crafting, surveys, Endeavors, Golden Pursuits, housing, farming, BGs, Cyrodiil, and trading, I might be more interested.
