Why in the world is Polar Winds getting a selfhealing buff?

Of all the heals that didn't need any kind of buff, this is on the top of the list. I get that the cross heal is reduced, and rightly so, but why would the self heal get any kind of buff whatsoever?

Yeah this was a weird one, the heal was already quite strong on wardens, especially with their health buff. I could see other classes getting less benefit since they don't have both skill lines at base for the health buff, but it's a strong burst heal *and* Hot and is one of the few remaining burst heals I've seen in pvp used instead of the scribing heal.

Its basically a slightly better version of coagulation, but also has the ability to heal other people.

It will forever bewilder me that the devs gave a buff to Polar Wind - the most complained about heal in the game - yet Arctic Blast (which was NEVER complained about on the forums or in game over numerous patches) got absolutely gutted in it's heal value and proc mechanic.

At least they nerfed the cross heal portion substantially. It'll still be annoying, but those healers with 40-50k+ HP are going to be doing dramatically less healing to their allies now.

When I first saw Arctic Wind pop up in the patch notes, I actually got a little excited - was this it? Had my desperate pleas to restore Arctic Blast's healing finally been heard? Alas… not this time. But maybe next patch.

It's nice that Polar Wind will be less annoying in PvP though.

It's not as strong as healing soul for self heals even with the buff when at 35k health.

The nerf to off healing is good for pvp.

I didn't know that Healing Soul had a HoT like Polar Winds. I don't interact with scribing skills yet. The cross heal reduction is appropriate.

It can have a hot, but it's weak. The burst heal on healing soul is worth giving up the polar hot on most builds. But the hot on polar no longer benefits allies.

I get my hots from two other skills on my den... at least I will after this patch.

Sounds like Healing Soul is too strong if people are willing to give up Polar Winds for it. Or since Polar Winds needs a buff to match it.
