A "Hide Player Cosmetics" option would be great for people who don't want to see the cosmetics we've earned/bought.

Some players have cosmetics that I don't mind (heck even enjoy) seeing. Tuning out all player cosmetics just to remove one annoying cosmetic isn't much of a solution.

Players have advocated for a way to toggle off other player's cosmetics, such as loud and bright recalls and flashy and loud radiant apex mounts, but have met resistance.

I don't see why there should be resistance if it's a clientside toggle. Nobody should be able to force you to see their cosmetics if you don't want it to render on your screen, but they should still have the right to use their own cosmetics wherever and whenever they'd like.

I don't know if I can find the thread but the arguement was basically that players buy flashy mounts to show them off and if others are able to toggle them off then they aren't getting what they paid for.

What?? That makes zero sense.
People should only buy cosmetics because they want to see them. Why would anyone show off expensive or hard-earned things to people who don't care?
