    Yeah animations have nothing to do with damage type…

    See vampire drain being direct damage.

    I love the people jumping through hoops making their own very specific arguments as to why a skill should deal x type of damage because of how it looks while they ignore every other instance where skills break their own made up logic.

    Fact of the matter is, any skill can deal any type of damage regardless of visuals, especially with skill styling. Functionality of skills, tick frequency, etc, can be changed in a heartbeat. It's a line of code. That's to say it's not even required. It could stay exactly the same.

    Visual problem? Arcanist ult deals direct AOE damage. Same laser, just from the sky.

    Proof of concept? Jabs deals direct AOE damage. Both are a channel, spammable, no target requirement, multi hit, 6 enemy cap, but does full AOE damage, not a lesser splash amount. All deliberate parallels. The only difference is 1 is ranged and 1 is melee. Gonna hold on to that tiny point while ignoring the rest?

    Where were you guys a year ago when Stalking Blastbones was defiled for GLS?

    If you guys piped in then when the Necro community was still chained in the basement pleading for water and stale bread it might not be a problem now. Instead of everyone who was taking their damage/crit buffs, executes, cc, and mobility for granted complaining about seeing a thread on the front page for 3 months from the class that was 6 feet under and ultimately went ignored.

    GLS has been a blight on us for a year and NOW it will be a blight on all of you!

    So here's your chance ZOS get rid of this abomination of a skill and give Necromancers something we'd be excited about! Like that death aura with the new bone storm animation the Necromancer NPC has in the trailer and let it consume corpse to make mini blastbones for its duration. You have sooo many good options just make a thematic damage ability for the class! You've been keeping an eye on it for a year and the reception isn't getting any warmer so time to actually do something about it.

    Remember when they said they were "keeping an eye" on GLS? So far the only changes it's received since then have been allowing it to be cast outside of combat (which should've been possible from the start) and technically a nerf by moving the corpse generation on Skull to be an inherent property of Skull.

    You guys still "keeping an eye" on this one? Wanna admit your mistake and bring back something interesting and useful yet?
