Guild membership ... not right

When I created my 2nd character yesterday, I discovered that I was automatically in the guild my 1st character had joined!!

I had previously noticed that my guild membership was under my account name, not my player's name. But it allows you to change the displayed name so they recognize you when they see you in the game.

But guild membership should be attached to the character ... not the account.
If my fighter joins a guild my other characters should not automatically belong to that guild. Each character should have their own guilds memberships.
If I wanted a Signature I would have a Signature --- but i don't want one so I don't have one.

    Yes, this has been mentioned.
Especially if you have characters in other factions.
While in my primary guild its no big deal, we are all faction anyway, in the PvP ones it can be a problem, since if you use your guild chats then all the faction members have access to it all...

Your covenant alts wont be in the same campaign your pact guild is in.

And I like this system. Games in which I cant guild invite my own alts annoys me. Keeping track of everyones alts annoys me.

You can appear offline to any of them if youre trying to skip out on their event(which also annoys me... join a raid guild? Commit or get out).

I think the account being in a guild is much better, you only have to invite one person instead of one character and an army of alts. On top of that when you have 500 people in a guild you have 500 people not 90 people and all their alts.

Personally I think its spot on the way it is done there are some reservations i have about the guild such as 5 guilds? Guild AH seems a bit daft as well I only ever found junk on the trade guild I joined there fore I left the guild.

And as Sakiri said if your in a raid guild you shouldn't be hiding yourself away from everyone if you join a raid guild you should be there to raid with them. I guess loyalty is what I would class as the most important thing for a guild, and the people running the guild should be given your loyalty if you wish to join them.
Never retreat, If you turn and run you will only die tired.

I have a DC and AD character in the same campaign.

Overall, I can live with all my chars being in the guild. I just wish it did not display my account name.
