    PvP

PVP is fun, but can get old real quick if all you do is face 30+ man zergs undermanned every night. Gotta mix it up. Comped ball groups, brawlers, troll builds, etc.

I try to do a mix of solo zerg surfing, non comp organized smallscale, and 8v8 solo BGs. I feel your frustration though because the action just hasn't been there the past year. Like another person said the community is a big reason to stay, I like the PvP community here, I'm also in my 40s and this game skews older compared to something like Rivals.

    Nothing really.

That sounds bad, but I've played about 3,000 hours, I've enjoyed my time in game, I've definitely had my moneys worth. I'm happy with the time I've spent in ESO.

    Cheers ZoS!

    Roleplaying mostly.

Roleplaying has increased my desire to experience more stories in ESO to better learn about lore. I also enjoy the environmental storytelling and picking up details about daily life that I can use in RP.

Roleplaying has encouraged me to spend far more on the housing system than I do in any other game. There are amazing homes to decorate and I tend to like to get houses and spend time fixing them up for specific characters.

Without roleplaying I'd probably not play this game quite as much. There are other MMOs I enjoy more right now, and single player games with better stories and graphics. But as a social RP experience ESO is the best I've ever seen.

my friends - dungeon group going now for 4 years once a week and some people I do housing tours with
    Zones and Questing

Giving PUG content a wide berth - since all that speed running started and fake roles escalated it´s not playable imo

I completely, by any means, avoid PvE and only log in for BGs (and, from time to time, search for some 1vs 1 in Cyrodiil).

After watching yesterdays live streams, nothing. I'll probably still play some going forward since I'm so invested into the game. But under no circumstances will I make further financial investments into the game. I'll just coast along with what I've already got. I can't think of a single positive thing to say about the new directions ESO is taking on either the PvE or PvP and most especially on the monetization side of things.

I don’t stay engaged. I usually play for awhile then take a long break. I return when there is enough content to bring me back.

What I love about ESO is the questing, exploring the maps, and doing world activities like bosses, events etc. I also love the lore of Elder Scrolls and the visual style of this game.

Right now I’m hooked because I have two+ chapters worth of story to get caught up on and immerse in. And I also have been having a ton of fun playing around with scribing and making builds for my characters.

Not very engaged lately. Log on, get daily reward, do some crafting dailies, do endeavours. Some days this takes all of 15 minutes. Then I log off and go do something else.

Maybe it's time for a break.

Leveling. As soon as I hit 3600...I suspect that will impact my desire to play as much.

I suppose the typical endgame in PvE would be to become strong enough and learn mechanics well enough to be able to get all sorts of achievements from veteran hardmode dungeons, trials and arenas. These take the forms of skins, titles, mounts and personalities that other endgame PvE'ers will recognize if they see you wearing them.

But there are other things you can also do. Some players who are extremely good like to take on the challenge of completing veteran hardmode dungeons solo. Then there's the Infinite Archive and its leaderboard. There are lots of other ways you can play the PvE part of the game.

For me personally, I enjoy experimenting with builds, and seeing how they stack up against the meta. I started playing shortly after the game released on consoles, so I have a solid background of almost all the sets in the game. And I have 20 characters, so wasting transmute crystals to reconstruct gear to experiment with isn't a problem for me. And when I'm not doing that, I'm in PvP, ganking people are ruining their day. 😂

    My advice is:
    1. Rush to CP160. Don't listen to people who tell you to take your time.
    2. Find a decent build on Youtube.
    3. Learn a damage rotation.
    4. Do your pledges on veteran difficulty every day, as they will expose you to lots of new dungeons, and the mechanics that come with them.
    5. Join normal trials groups for the same reason.
    6. Once you're comfortable with the gameplay, start taking on the challenging content of the game. 😁

If you play on PC EU, feel free to add me. I can help you powergrind XP, craft you some starter CP160 gear, and teach you a simple damage rotation to get you going.

Setting goals, even little ones. For example, I'm working on the collectible fragment achievements from the public dungeons and working on the new daily quest achievements.
